On behalf of Governor Snoop, April 22 is now called “West Coast Independence Day”. During this past weekend, the entire west coast got together to show that “Cali Iz Active”. The “Cali Iz Active” shoot was held at the Elysian Park in downtown Los Angeles and in attendance were Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Battlecat, Julio G, Fred Wreck, DJ Quik, Ice Cube, WC, King Tee, Roscoe, Warren G, Too Short, Kam, Xzibit, Soopafly, Tyrese, MC Eiht, Mykestro, Glasses Malone, Bishop Lamont, J. Wells, Playa Hamm, Jelly Roll, Terrace Martin, Krondon, Dilated Peoples, Big Boy, JT the Bigga Figga, Daddy V, Crazy Toones, and countless others.
It was a beautiful display of west coast unity, something that the we have been missing for a long time. This video will definitely be considered a milestone in west coast history.
