Gardena, CA resident Flixx is a name that long time readers of dubcnn may remember. We first introduced the talented artist in 2005 when he released his acclaimed debut album; “Politics & Pimpin” which featured the hit single “Tha Dubb” produced by Likwit crew member J Wells as well as cuts from new westcoast producer Best Paul.
The debut album led to a rapidly expanding fan base, a feature on the Lion’s Gate Films Soundtrack “Gangtapes” (Too Short, Coolio, Above the Law and more) as well as him working in the South with a variety of artists.
Over the past 12 months Flixx has kept busy touring as well as working on his sophomore release. With us moving further into 2007 Flixx has told us the new album will be called “Politics & Pimpin: Article 2” and to build up to the release he is first releasing the second video from his debut called “Ridin N-ggas” before he releases a ten minute mini-movie for the new album track “That’s Tha Pimp.” We have the “Ridin N-ggas” video and the video commerical, which features scenes from the video, studio footage as well as Flixx talking about the new release and a drop to dubcnn!
