LA artist Ivan Ives recently came to attention our attention with the release of his groundbreaking interactive music video for his track titled “Up and Down”. The “choose your own adventure” youtube journey allowed viewers to pick alternate story-lines for the music video to the song, making it the first of its kind. This video was in fact part of a bigger more ambitious project, however, that Ives had been devising called the 1st of the Month Compilation.
Over the course of a year Ives released a single every month and an accompanying video to go along with it. 2010 is over and Ives is ready to release the DVD compilation, which includes 12 videos and other behind the scenes interviews and extras in high definition blu-ray format. The album will be released March 18th, but in the meantime, make sure you pre-order it and ensure you get a limited edition copy of his upcoming mixtape “Cheap Rock Surprise”.
