For many of you the first exposure you will’ve had to Nipsey Hussle was right here on Dubcnn.

In mid-2008 (see those updates) we brought you his singles They Roll (ft. The Game) and Bullets (Remix) (ft. The Game) before we did what we do best – got the man himself in the spotlight for this Exclusive Interview in July 2008.

From then Nip became a regular, dropping the mixtapes Bullets Ain’t Got No Name Vol. 1 and Bullets Ain’t Got No Name Vol. 2, this Dubcnn Video Drop as a thank you for the support, another Exclusive Interview in 2009 before his acclaimed Bullets Ain’t Got No Name Vol. 3

Across 2010, 2011 and 2012 it’s been a relentless Nipsey Marathon of Music – apt then that his next two mixtapes were The Marathon and TMC (The Marathon Continues).

Today the guys at Hard Knock TV have been digging in their vaults and discovered a Nipsey Hussle video interview from the  Russell Simmons’ Get Your Money Summit in September 2006 where a very young Nip talks to the legendary Davey D.

In this interview Nipsey talks about jewellery being a liability, his Eritrean descent, going back to East Africa, Black and Brown relations, the police and much more PLUS if you check around the 0.40-0.50 mark you might just see two other young cats; Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock walking in the background! Check it below!
