DJ Premier and The Lady of Rage have linked up again for a new record!
After the duo combined for the classic “Unfucwitable” from “Doggy Style Allstars Vol 1” we’ve all been waiting for new music from them together.
Now after launching new site, PremierWuzHere, he announced that he’s teamed up with Serato to drop a brand new vinyl project which features four new tracks. One of those new records is “Chemical Burn” featuring The Lady of Rage. We released the exclusive Lady or Rage interview in 2011 from the How To Rap series where she spoke on working with DJ Premier;
I like to help create the beat, and I can do that more with [DJ] Premier because we have a real close relationship and he lets me do that. So he was going through the beginning stages of picking out something and I forget what the sample was, but he was playing something and I was like, I like that. And so he kept playing it, and then he looped it, and he didn’t like it, but I liked it and I was like, that’s what I want, that’s what I want! So he went on and did it and I just sat in there for a while, smoked a joint, sat in there by myself and just listened to it over and over, until it come—it’ll come to you. And that’s how it is.
