Larry June – Bad Dreams EP

0

Now I was first introduced to San Francisco native & giant Larry June a few months after his May ’15 Bad Dreams EP by my good friend and his fellow OGG affiliate Tru Heru, and instantly realized the Bay Area had yet another gem out it’s rich soil ready to shine. Featuring one of his most notable records to date with “Glock .40”, and supportive hits like “Cooking” and “Mad Now” featuring ATL’s Lord of Rage, OG Maco, and Bay brethren IAMSU, Larry June’s distinct ad-libs and dynamic energy makes him one to watch closely on the coast. Endorsing everything from hustling to healthy eating habits, June simplifies his complex character traits on the track & allows his fan base to embrace him in manner not seen amongst other rappers these days. Charismatic, confident and constantly after new means to express his creativity/influence, there is literally no limit to what the politely boastful & brash businessman can and can’t do. The fifteen track EP is but the midpoint to his still young and growing career having released his Route 80 EP (June ’14) and his Cali Grown Pt.2 (July ’13) prior to this solidifying & successful body of work. Music below, video above.

I got more work from the man formally known as Young June on the way, so eat this while I cook up the next dish.
