KATERINA VILLEGAS BIO
Born Katerina Vivian Villegas on May 14, in Fontana, California, Pop Singer-Songwriter Katerina grew up in a very loving, musically and performing inclined family. She was raised in Chino, California, by her mother and father, Veronica and Martin Villegas, with her younger brother Estevan. Katerina developed her love for music at a very young age, as her father sang and played the bass in a band with his brother. At two years old, Katerina would step into their rehearsals and grab a hold of the nearest available microphone and would sing as passionately as any toddler could. She was made for the spotlight.
Living out her music dream was no easy task for Katerina, if she wanted her family’s support. They first required that she obtain her Bachelor’s degree. She then graduated one year early from Azusa Pacific University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and where she also made the Dean’s list every semester.
Katerina is also a state and nationally ranked beauty queen. She’s held the title of Miss Chino, California and went on to compete in many beauty pageants, claiming the title of Miss Hispanidad International USA, and Miss California US International in addition to placing 1st runner-up at the National Pageant for Miss US International.
Out of her love for music, she will give up her title as Miss California US International after the crowning of her successor (later) this year. Upon crowning her successor, Katerina will be officially retired from pageantry to focus all her attention on her music. She says that pageants gave her confidence and taught her how to carry herself with grace and poise.
In keeping it in the Family, her mother has studied makeup, obtained Certification and became her official makeup artist, hair stylist, and photographer while her dad managed major communications and business dealings.
Working with her family has provided her a safe, drug and alcohol free environment to live out her creativity and wildest dreams. While peer pressure exists, she happily keeps her family close which helps her to maintain accountability and focus.
She was then discovered by Ashley Camden and her husband, Producer Skyler Lexx. Skyler continues to help her explore her style with Artist Development, as well as shop her to Major Record Labels who now express interest in her. For that fact, she has an upcoming single by the name of Running Free which revives the Disco Era at a time where it simply fits right in.
In March 2017, Katerina spent some time in Miami, at the W Hotel South Beach at The Music Lounge event with Y100Miami, iHeart Radio, and The REMIX TOP 30 Countdown for Winter Music Conference and Miami Music Week. She also attended the 2017 Remix Awards, where she connected with many DJ’s and mixed show hosts including Hollywood Hamilton, DJ Lynn Wood, Steve Smooth, Marc Stout, DJ Knappy, The Scene Kings, and many more. Also in attendance were Steve Aoki, DJ Fenix, Marshmallow, Armin Van Buuren, Nervo, Martin Garrix, and other world-renown DJ’s.

Katerina says that once her full EP is released in April, her other Disco Songs will ceaate a firm standing for her creating Disco 2.0 thereby giving her an edge on the “Futuristic Pop Market.” Tour coming soon.
