The forums that were the birthplace of DubCNN – DubCC: West Coast Connection Forums – have recently undergone some changes.

In January 2001 the DubCC forum was born on the back of the old Dre2001.com forum which at the time was the official Dr. Dre website during the 2001 album era. The community, who also frequented the pioneering DreDay.com, NWA2K and WCKillaz pages came together on then named “West Coast Affiliates Forum” umbrella that the fan-sites owners combined under.

Over time the forum took the new and current name of the West Coast Connection Forum and in 2002 DubCNN was formed as the official news source behind the forum.

Many sites that used to be part of the original group have closed – or as in the case of Westcoast2K merged under DubCNN – however the forum stands strong with 3 MILLION posts across over 250,000 topics from its 25,000 members. The huge archive of discussions cover one of the most varied periods in the history of Hip-Hop.

In the last couple of months the West Coast Connection Forum team have been busy and last month completed the move to securer and faster servers, upgraded functionality of the forums, indexed by Google – and also moved to the dubcnn.com domain. It’s new home is now;

I want to finally take this moment to thank firstly Overseer who has been driving these changes, as well as each and every member of the Forum community – many of whom have been with us for over 15 years- as well as the whole team behind its success! Here’s to another 15 years of supporting Westcoast Hip-Hop.
