Multi-talented Boston producer, rapper and singer Caye has just released a special debut music video for his feel-good summer jam “LA Life”.  Inspired by his big move from Boston to Hollywood, Caye collaborates with producer Dawgus and director Luke Allwein to celebrate his arrival in LA with a soulful track, witty verses, smooth melodies he caps it off with a sunny and breezy visual.

Caye explains, “LA Life was inspired by the reality of living in the Promised Land. Living my entire life in Boston, I never realized how big the music industry was in LA. In Boston, you don’t get to see that golden opportunity, so you don’t see its full potential. The goal for me and many Boston musicians was always to reach this Promised Land that everyone was talking about. I never understood the gravity of that until I finally spent a year out in LA at USC.”

Currently a college student at the USC’s coveted Thornton School of Music, Caye has already built up a loyal college fan base that helped catapult his 2016 break-through self-produced single “Coma” to over 4 Million streams.  Early supporters at UniversityHype praised Caye’s “witty lyricism and rich vocals” while Jadamix gives a nod to his “Walk On Bye” which “sounds a lot like Mac Miller.”
ABOUT CAYE:
Born and raised in Boston, Caye became a talented multi-instrumentalist at an early age. His fondness for a variety of genres (from Jazz to Hip-Hop and everything in between) melted with his skills on the drums, steel pan, and piano. This set the stage for the essence of his music: smooth verses and seductive production. Caye entered USC Thornton School of Music’s Pop Music Program during the Fall of 2016 and has already created a buzz for himself on the college circuit.Caye recently released the first seven tracks from his debut LP Shades last October. The first half of Shades includes freshly-mastered cut of his 2015 hit “Coma,” that amassed over 2 million plays on Spotify and another 2 Million on SoundCloud.  Soon after, Caye signed with powerhouse talent agency Paradigm after selling out his hometown Brighton Music Hall in Boston. 2017 is set to be a banner year for Caye now that he’s living the “LA Life.”
