Today, Tampa Bay rapper JG shares the music video to his introspective track “Public Relations.” The self-directed clip shows JG on a rooftop overlooking Los Angeles while he delivers melodic bars reflecting on a relationship with a girlfriend. The track is the first official release setting the tone for JG’s forthcoming full-length Public Relations 2 releasing via independent label The Leftovers.
“At this point I only care about making music that makes me happy,” explains JG. “I hope you appreciate the honesty and connect with what I’m saying in these songs. If my music can help brighten just one person’s day then I’m doing my job.”
This week JG joined the cast of growing rappers contributing bars to the #SoBrooklyn viral challenge. Started by Brooklyn rapper Casanova, the challenge asks rappers to showcase their best rap skills over an instrumental to Casanova’s track “So Brooklyn.” New York MCs DMX, Papoose, Memphis Bleek, Young M.A and a slew of other rappers from all over the map have joined in on the fun.
