One of the main reasons Dubcnn was created was to give Westcoast Hip-Hop a voice in an industry, and an online culture, that has been and is increasingly focused on established mainstream talent. With that said we love getting new music into the office for us to check out - not all of it is going to make it but sometimes a record catches our attention and we have to bring it to you.
Today we received a track from an up and coming Hip-Hop duo from Riverside CA called Sound Fx. These two talented nineteen year olds are looking to forge a career for themselves and are doing it in a humble and focused way.
"We have something that the world needs to hear. The music we make not only tells our story but the stories of the millions of young adults facing the same trials and tribulations as us but unable to voice their struggles. We are fighting the battle between doing what you love and doing what society expects of you or what is considered 'realistic' and our music reflects that. We just want to share our insecurities, joy, pain, pleasure, love, heart-ache and life experiences with every one willing to take a chance and listen to our music," explained McFlyy from the group.
Sound Fx take their craft seriously and McFlyy went on to tell us; "Most importantly we give you US in every song. We take the art of music very seriously we dont consider ourselves rappers, but musicians, many people make music but are not artists so we try to express and maintain our artistic integrity [and we] hope you enjoy our music."
