1188899610 - January 1, 1970 By : Delaware's own Fred Knuxx has been a staple artist on Dubcnn since 2004 with his various releases and appearances on projects coast to coast. From his DJ Kurupt hosted mixtape; "The Repo Man - Taking The Game Back," which can be downloaded here, to his long awaited debut album "Delafornia."
In June we released the "Delafornia" album sampler, an 8 minute showcase of the album that will feature artists including Spider Loc, Eastwood, Akil from Jurassic 5, Bad Lucc, Jazzy D, Bangloose, Problem, Mykestro, Dresta The Gangsta, Coniyac and many more - due for release in late 2007.
Today we are back with news that one of the hardest working men in the industry is preparing three releases that will lead up to his debut album; one a mixtape entitled "Face Of De" due out next week, and two collaboration projects, one with AO and the second with westcoast up and comer Noni Spitz entitled "Coastal Conflict."
We have some audio from the latter project "Coastal Conflict" to premiere today, a freestyle track with Fred Knuxx and Noni Spitz entitled "The Game." The new record sees the duo do what they do best over the beat of the same name produced by Kanye West from Common's latest album "Finding Forever."

So once again another fine day for young upcoming talent, first featured on dubcnn back in 2004 [see dubcnn's December 2004 interview with Fred Knuxx], and most recently interviewed in June of this year [see that interview with Fred Knuxx], the Delaware native has signed a management deal with West Coast legend Jazzy D.
Jazzy D and his roster of new artists signed under the 'Jazzy Management' organisation are looking stronger with every new recruit. For those unfamiliar with Jazzy D; slap yourselves, if you've ever heard of "Gangsta Granny" featured on countless Westcoast releases, mixtapes and radio then you are indeed listening to Jazzy D. Jazzy is now putting all his influence behind a host of up and coming youngsters who are a part of 'Jazzy Management' - the latest individual to be the afforementioned Fred Knuxx.
Fred Knuxx is not slowing down now; with the success of his most recent mixtape "The Repo Man...Taking The Game Back" fresh in everyones mind; where DJ Kurupt & Fred ensure dubcnn get a mention, Fred Knuxx is already back in the lab working on a new project called "Delafornia," a project that will showcase the Delaware MC with California's best spitters. "The mixtape is called W.I.M.S. Radio, Walk In My Shoes, cause basically I'm taking everybody on a walk through my shoes, showing you what my sound and my style and basically all about.", he says about the mix CD. "I'm bringing something new, fresh to the West Coast, hard core Hip-Hop soul, that's what I'm bringing, with a high lyrical content. The whole mix CD is based on the title "mixtape album" cause when you pop it in, the quality of the songs, everything is original, it's all album material, but we mixed it up, got it sounding like a mixtape. It's hosted by Mike Live from K-Day and Gangsta Granny, so it's got a whole radio feel to it, it's hot!"
He's also got some of the hottest New West artists featured on "Walk In My Shoes", Bishop Lamont, Roccett, Scipio, Dae One, Taje, Mykestro just to name a few. Noni Spitz is part of Jazzy Management, along side Clinton Wayne, The Young Hoggs, Fred Knuxx and more, so that should be a hint towards the quality of the music you can expect from Noni Spitz.

His planned solo album "Delafornia" still hasn't come out, but he's keeping the buzz alive through various mixtape appearances, and will be putting a new video to "Get Lost" and a new tape called "The King Of Grind" within the next few weeks. On there he jumped on Prodigy's joint "The Life" off P's current LP "HNIC 2", check it out below:
Prodigy - The Life (Remix) (ft. Fred Knuxx)
Let's get to another artist who long time dubcnn visitors will be familar with. I'm talking about South Central's own Wallet. We brought you his mixtape "In My Grindtime Vol. 2" last year, and now he's leaked a new street single on which he linked up with producer Dem Jointz. The track has a cool little club feel to it, definitely worth a listen. Check out "Sittin' High" by Wallet producedy by Dem Jointz below:
Wallet - Sittin' High (Prod. by Dem Jointz)
Last but not least is a new single by up and coming rapper Trey-C. He reached out to Glasses Malone and Ya Boy to join him on the remix of his track "Showboatin'", which also features singer Matt Blaque, who you heard on Yukmouth's "Hey Boy". The result is certified banger with mainstream appeal, make sure to check out the "Showboatin' (Remix)" below:

1089677637 - January 1, 1970 By : Goddaaaaaaaaaamn, what a show! Last night, at the Henry Fonda Theater, a live crowd witnessed the reunion of some of both coasts most notorious artists. Mobb Deep had their anticipated show with Sly Boogy opening up, but it turned out to be much more than just a Mobb Deep show.
Mobb Deep, Kurupt, Jayo Felony, 40 Glocc, Boo Yaa TRIBE, Eastwood, Dilated Peoples, Alchemist, Bushwick Bill, Tri-Star and many more, all on one stage???? Now that's some shit!
The Riflemen is official, oh boy, it is official! After Havoc & Prodigy performed a few of their hits including Shook Ones, they called the Riflemen along with everybody else on stage, and from then on, it was a party on stage. Everywhere you looked, a big name artist was rocking off. The Mob put down a hot show, and with Jayo's new invention, which brings the left half of the crowd to yell out "FUCK THAT SIDE" to the right half, the crowd was really and into it and rowdy.
Everything remained peaceful though, it was a hot ass show, and hopefully this is just the beginning of a flourishing relationship between Mobb Deep & Riflemen. After the West Coast left the stage, Mobb Deep closed it off with some more cuts including their current smash hit "Twisted".
DUBCNN was present for you, from back at the hotel before the show, to backstage, to on stage, to back at the hotel after the show. We have tons of pics, aswell as a 1hour+ film. The movie aint on the computer yet but for now you can check out some of the pictures below:

1102780481 - January 1, 1970 By : The Grooveline Magazine College tour is designed to put the artists in touch with the collegiate buying market with minimal cost to the record company. We do this by combining the presence of celebrities along with sponsors such as Pepsi, Pro-Line hair care and Dada Foot Wear that gives the student a totally fun experience while we are on campus.
We are proposing a one week, seven city college tour, that will run from April 15th until the 22nd, 2005. The tour will act as a caravan of exposure for your up and coming acts who are looking to connect with an audience that’s likely to consume their projects. We will maximize the college market for your artists by putting them on campuses in a festive environment. We will set up an autograph session from 11 AM to 1PM in each school’s student union. During this time we will entertain students with games, giveaways and music. We will also invite local media (news, video show, magazines, and newspapers) to cover the event. We will spend the rest of the afternoon making scheduled appearances. Then we will return to the campus in the evening for a performance. In some cases we will perform on campus during lunch.
Past tour participants include David Banner (With Crooked Lettaz), Young Bloodz, C-Murder, Do Or Die, Mr. Short Khop, Beelow, Red Café, Messy Marv to name a few. The headliner will be announced in February.
Grooveline has put together an all inclusive tour that will provide for all the artist’s needs, while supplying the label with the manpower it needs to properly promote an artists.
Grooveline Magazine is offering the following package:
1. Provide transportation for four people per group. (45 ft, 50 passenger charter bus)
2. Provide two rooms per night in a three star hotel. (Holiday Inn, Ramada, Hilton)
3. Radio advertisement on college stations that will permit it. Commercials will go up one week prior to our arrival. If radio is not possible, we will seek out newspapers.

Immigrants, Psycho Realm, Mellow Man Ace, Son Doobie and many more shut the place down!!! Second State opened the show, but when F.I.L.T.H.E.E. Immigrants really got it poppin'. They did "Liberta," "Proposition Fuck You," "Liberta," "C.H.I.L.D.," and many other of their dope tracks. The crowd was really hyped and even had a nice little Mosh Pit going!
B-Real was the next act up. This had to be one of the illest performances I've ever seen. He did brought Mellow Man Ace & O Brown for "Never Back Down," as well as Sick Jacken and Mellow for "Hold You Down." Jack stayed on stage with B-Real and brought out Street Platoon do run through some Psycho Realm tracks such as "Psycho City Blocks."
B did "Back To The Apple," "Warriors," "Yo Quiero Fumar" and much more! Filthee and Son Doobie came out to do "No Model." Fredwreck did a little set on the Talk Box. But, to end the show, B brought out Sen Dog and ran through a bunch of Cypress Hill tracks, such as, "How I Could Just Kill A Man," "Hand On The Pump" and others. The show ended with THE ENTIRE CREW coming on stage as Sen & B did "Latin Thugs." B and Bobo hopped on the Congas and did their thing, as well.
If some of the tracks that I listed above do not look familiar for you, that's because they're off B-Real's new Mixtape, and you must be sleeping!
Order a copy of the Gunslingers Mixtape on his official website www.Brealonline.com. It's only $14 US, $18 Worldwide.

1107831661 - January 1, 1970 By : The second issue of Hood Grown Magazine goes to the presses today. This issue contains the following interviews and features: A Tribute to Ol' Dirty Bastard, Hip Hop Beef-The Next Level?, How To Start A Record Company For Under $1000, The Game, Ciara, Cormega, Miri Ben-Ari, Lord Have Mercy, Noah, Angelous, Maverick Video, Record Reviews, Hood Grown Girl of the Month, and Upcoming Artist & Producers. It's also includes a free Amplifire sampler cd inside every issue all for only 50 cents!!!!!!
Hood Grown's purpose is to cover urban music in a street oriented, yet intelligent manner with content driven by artist, music, and African A0merican culture as it pertains to the art form. The magazine is 36 pages, features full colors covers on 80lb glossy paper, with black & white insides on 70lb glossy paper, and is published bi-monthly.
One of the unique aspects of Hood Grown magazine is that it fosters the discovery of new music and artists whether they're on a major or independent music label. We're one of the few magazines where you'll see major artists featured along side independent artists with no seperation based on the celebratory status of their record label. Our specialty is featuring unknown upcoming labels, artists, &roducers exposing them to an audience that might have little knowledge of them.
To this end we have decided to provide Hood Grown magazine at a minimal cost to the consumer in order to gain readership for those with limited budgets who would be more likely to pick up XXL or the Source magazines. Hood Grown magazine's cover price is 50 cents and in some stores it is given away for free. In order to do this, Hood Grown is totally advertiser supported. We understand the limited budgets of most independent labels and have priced our advertising rates so that even the most cash strapped label can afford to advertise their product.
Hood Grown magazine is distributed to "mom & pop" and specialty stores throughout the country through Clout Distribution, Domination Distribution, and in the Newbury Comics chain of stores. Currently in talks with Barnes & Nobles and Borders.
For more information go to: HoodGrown.com For images from the latest issue, go to: Latest Issue
Hood Grown Magazine (wwww.hoodgrown.com), the new Hip Hop magazine with it's focus on featuring major and indie artists without bias, will soon be launching it's new endeavor, Hood Grown Records (www.hoodgrownrecords.com). With the launch of Hood Grown Records, the focus of this new upstart is to bring back the spirit of Rawkus Records in it's hey day.
"With the success of artists such as Kayne West, we feel the climate is right to release hip hop artists who want to release hard hitting, intelligent music, and don't feel the need to conform to the commercial formats dominating popular radio and video shows." said Christopher English, CEO of Hood Grown Records. "We can use our magazine to get our music in the public eye and use our distribution channels to get it in stores."
The first release on the new Hood Grown Records imprint will be the BombSounding Compilation which will be followed by an EP release from upcoming artist, Frozen Heat.

1109103472 - January 1, 1970 By : Yes sir, you read correct! We done did it again! Last saturday, myself, Yash & the big homie Lil Jay had the chance to hook up with Bigg Snoop Dogg after his show in Cologne, Germany, with The Game opening up for him. We have all of this on video, yes sir, a Snoop Dogg video interview!
Time was limited, but I believe the most important questions that have been very requested by the fans were answered. Yash had his "Free Tray Deee" shirt on, so you know Snoop had to speak on the Tray Deee/Eastsidaz situation. He also talked about the 213 and why it wasn't promoted well, his relationship with Dr. Dre and how he's still pushing for that Break Up To Make Up album. He also answered my question about working with producers like Battlecat, Meech Wells & Fredwreck again, and hooking back up with his old people such as Bad Azz and others. His answer to Jay's question, wether he will be going back to his Gangsta style, G-Funk, will probably anger alot of you... But hey, that's how he feels!
Highlights are him announcing that The Lady Of Rage is back in the studio, and his statement on Kurupt is very interesting too. We were pleased to see that Snoop is up on his internet game, and knew all about DubCNN already.
This is not all that's coming though, in a few days we will have some exclusive video footage from the show up for those who weren't there, and we also conducted a video interview with Soopafly, who answered alot of questions.
And in addition to all that, we also have an exclusive video interview with Snoop's 213 buddy Warren G coming. Matter of fact, we have TWO Warren G video interviews completed, yes sir!
'Nuff talk, check out the video footage of Snoop Dogg now by clicking below:

1118523093 - January 1, 1970 By : The Atlanta duo Ying Yang Twins have found success as of late with their first single off their new album United States Of Atlanta, entitled "Wait (The Whisper Song)." The Twins keep a whisper flow through out the entire song telling the ladies how they're going to put it on them in bed. As with any hit, people hop at the chance to Remix it or put their own spin on the track.
Philly Producer Extratrodinaire, Chops, is well known for his Remixes. He flipped the track with his own beat and add his own verse! As of late he's remixed Snoop Dogg's "Drop It Like It's Hot," Swisha House's "Still Tippin'" and many others. Underground heads will remember Chops from his group the Mountain Bros. Others might remember his 2004 album Virtuosity which featured Ras Kass, Planet Asia, Phil Da Agony, Bahamadia, Kanye West and many others.
So if his resume doesn't impress you, then go a head and peep
Ying Yang Twins feat. Chop - Wait (Chops Remix)
As an added bonus, check out 15 minutes of Chops' latest Mixtape with DJ Lt. Dan, It's Going Down, hosted by Houston staple Paul Wall.

"Dale duro, dale duro, dale duro, dale du!" Next up, Dade County's Finest, Pitbull teams up with the H-Town's Chingo Bling to flip the Twins' track.
Mr. Bad Boy Latino and the Tamale Kingpin have been putting it down together a lot lately and this song is a great showing of their chemistry on tracks. The Cuban/Mexican combo go hard dropping their Spanglish rhymes in the whisper flow!

He completed his album 24K for Atlantic Records, which featured Ja Rule, M.O.P., Kool G Rap and many more, back in the late 90s. Unfortunately, it was shelved. The album featured the singles "Still Tellin' Lies" and his heartfelt ode to Pun "Flowers For The Dead" with Spanish crooner Domingo.

The Grooveline Magazine College tour is designed to put the artists in touch with the collegiate buying market with minimal cost to the record company. We do this by combining the presence of celebrities along with sponsors such as Pepsi, Pro-Line hair care and Dada Foot Wear that gives the student a totally fun experience while we are on campus.
Because of high demand for slots on the Grooveline tour we have extended it to three weeks this year. And we're splitting the tour into two legs to provide additional slots. Each leg is 10 days and we have 4 slots on each leg of the tour for independent acts. The first leg is a ten day eight city tour that will run from April 5th until the 14th. (Contact us for itinerary of events). The second leg will run from April 15th until the 23rd (Contact us for an itinerary of events).
Short Khop, Beelow, Red Café, Spice 1, Messy Marv and last years headliner Choppa to name a few. We’ve secured Mack 10 and Choppa as participants this year. Other headliners will be added as we finalize the tour.
4. Promotional items: 10,000 CD samplers/ CD Rom with one song from each artist and And 5,000 8X11 flyers announcing the tour.
5. A publicist to set up interviews in each city. We will have catered press junkets in select cities.
6. Story in Grooveline Magazine’s April issue
*No matter what leg of the tour you are on, your promotional material and other giveaways will be included at every stop.
The cost of the tour is $6,500.00 per leg and $10,500.00 if you choose to stay on the whole tour.
