1160536441 - January 1, 1970 By : It was only March of this year that we introduced you to the South Central Los Angeles MC, Cash Dniro. Back then he told us; "I spit for South Central and speak for the ghetto. From my hood to your hood we all go through similar things and im hear to report what's real for the real."
We gave Cash Dniro a spot in our First Look section for new artists and the response garnered was impressive. Since then he has been working steadily on his debut album "C.A.S.H" (Committed Against Sure Hate) on his own imprint - About My People; About My Paper - due out later this year.
We have two new tracks for download, one produced by OP Beatz called "I Be" and the second by the much dubcnn featured artist XL Middleton entitled "One To Grow On" - both of these are not joints to be slept on. Check them out below and also take some time to hit up Cash Dniro's MySpace.
Cash Dniro - I Be (Produced By OP Beatz)
Cash Dniro - One To Grown On (Feat. Sel) (Produced By XL Middleton)

1160751020 - January 1, 1970 By : We're back with everyones favorite up and coming artist Clinton Wayne, representing Barstow, CA. His debut mixtape "Tsoul Ghetto" which we had available for free download recieved incredible feedback, and the man is currently putting the finishing touches on his second project, "Regal Muzik".
Following the formula of the first mixtape, Clinton Wayne brings us more fresh flows and lyrics over banging production by F Major & XL Middleton amongst others. I have a full preview track for ya'll, as well as three snippets, to make the wait easier.
On "She Got", Clinton Wayne gives it up to all the beautiful ladies, or as he puts it, the 'ghetto fabolous thug misses', over a West Coast'd out summer track produced by F Major. His flow is fluid as always, making it easy to keep the track on repeat. Check it out below:
Clinton Wayne - She Got (Prod. by F Major)
I have three snippets as well, one of them featuring and produced by our good friend XL Middleton. Check them out below:
Clinton Wayne - Truth Be Told (ft. XL Middleton)
Clinton Wayne - Oo Wee

1162319123 - January 1, 1970 By : After his debut album, Bottled Up, was pulled from the retail market due to trademark issues, Black aka Black Daniels returns with his second mixtape, New Black City. As Crown City's next-in-line, Black's latest project will exemplify all sides of the Altadena, CA, native - the party animal, the lyricist, the introspective thinker, all sprinkled with a little controversy and delivered in Black's signature West Coast-country boy twang. Far from being a "mixtape-only spitter" like so many MC's these days, Black doesn't just brag and boast, he covers many bases, everything from dealing with personal losses to intoxicated nights and rough morning-afters.
New Black City features guest appearances and production from 1stBorn, XL Middleton, DJ Warrior and Blu Iz (rapper-turned-actor who starred in The Shield, The Fat Albert Movie and other roles). The mixtape also features a Hood Remix with 50 Cent & Mobb Deep.

1167512088 - January 1, 1970 By : Though he just released his last LP in September 2006, Pasadena, CA, native XL Middleton is already back with another full-length solo disc, "The Lost Tapes". This project will include some of XL's unreleased material, but in addition to that, "The Lost Tapes" contains several brand-new tracks recorded just for this album! As XL himself said simply, "It's just hard to stay out of the lab." Set for a February 7th, 2007 release date, two singles have already been leaked. The first, "Wonderful Day" (feat. Clinton Wayne & MP), is a slow, introspective track about overcoming life's obstacles and fighting one's own inner demons, a conceptual record the likes of which have not been seen in today's commercialized hip hop marketplace for some time now. The second single, "Coast Wit Me" (feat. Mista Mil), is a bouncy record with a tropical feel to it, a perfect song for those who like to party and indulge without the elitist excesses of nightclub life.
News image for post that links to larger image or outLink: "The Lost Tapes" is currently set to feature guest appearances from
Shade Sheist, Coolwadda (Chico & Coolwadda), Black Daniels, The Knucklheds, Mista Mil, Clinton Wayne, MP, and more. Check below for two tracks off "The Lost Tapes".

1169384851 - January 1, 1970 By : I'm sure most of you have had the experience of listening to an artist you're unfamiliar with, and he/she surprised the hell out of you. That's the reaction most people have had when they listened to Bay Area artist Shame's album "California", which was recently released to the internet for free download.
19 tracks of real talk, all but one produced by Shame himself, and all of that for free. You can't really ask for more. Those of you expecting a brainless Hyphy'd out album, be assured, Although the influence of the Bay Area's current sound is unmistakably noticable in Shame's music, his deep lyrics and sharp delivery create a fresh, unique sound.
For those of you who want to preview the music before download the whole album, I've uploaded two tracks from the album, which you can download below. The first one is the title track, a straight California anthem, which features XL Middleton. The second one, "What's Gangsta", is a song where Shame touches on violence in neighborhoods, and criticizes the glorified 'gangsta' image in today's Hip-Hop music.
Shame - California (ft. XL Middleton)
Shame - What's Gangsta
After hearing the two tracks, I'm sure you're convinced that the album is worth downloading, so go ahead and grab "California" below:

Both of these tracks can be downloaded below.
As you might expect "The Lost Tapes" is a collection of new and unreleased songs that XL has recorded over recent years. We have the single from the new release entitled "I Don't Like You" for download below. The song, which features Bo$$, tackles a particular issue in Hip-Hop - we asked XL Middleton to explain; "With this album what i'm trying to do is not just come with that regular party music. Every song [on the album] is addressing an issue or situation of some sort."
"With this track [I Don't Like You] in particular i'm addressing all the clice bullsh-t in Hip-Hop music right now and right now a lot of rappers are not helping the current situation in music with the tired ass lyrics about sh-t we have all heard before. Even if you spit ot cleverly, do we really need to hear it again? It's time for us as a people to take Hip-Hop back."

1199052965 - January 1, 1970 By : Few independent labels have acheived what PutYourselfOut have managed to do over the past few years. From countless projects, to touring and more the organisation has built a reputation for quality across the board. With 2007 now at an end Shade Sheist and PutYourselfOut wanted to give our readers a headsup on what is to come in 2008 and rest assured their reputation is only set to increase with what is to come!
First up for 2008 sees Shade Sheist and his Partner In Rhyme N.U.N.E. head to Canada for a Tour being put on by Dubcnn Featured Haze Entertainment.
The rest of the first quarter will see the duo also hit Taiwan and the UK as part of their heavy touring plans for 2008.
In terms of recording Shade Sheist and N.U.N.E. have been in the studio recording with Glasses Malone, Bishop Lamont, Stat Quo and Y.A. (Tri-Star, Roscoe, Slo Stallone) for their long awaited "Movin Units" project that is now set to drop in 2008, the lead single will be premiered soon as entitled "Movin Like A Boss" produced by James Brown. As if that wasn't enough the two have already signed to J-Steez to release a sophomore project soon after that will see J-Steez producing the entire album. The first single from that release has just been completed and is called "Table Dance" featuring Eddie Kane Jr as well as a remix with XL Middleton.
In terms of solo projects, Shade Sheist has just started his third album while both Eddie Kane Jr and N.U.N.E. are finishing up their respective albums.
Regular Dubcnn visitors will be familiar with the PYO From Yo Hood video series that has been appearing on YouTube. PYO are now in talks with both VH1 and The E! Channel to take the project further under the title "Making The Comeback."
To wrap up - and this may be last but is by no means least - Shade Sheist and the PutYourselfOut family are proud to announce that they are taking over the world next year - literally - PYO will be releasing the world's first "WorldTape" in 2008 - what is a "WorldTape" you ask?
Well in an era when most artists are releasing mixtapes and Street Albums, Shade Sheist is compiling his greatest features, productions and exclusive never before heard music and droppin it for free in the United States. What's so original about that you may ask? Well under the title "WorldTape" Shade Sheist is going global by creating an editon for every major country in the world?
His recent silence from releasing new material has been the result of working with major artists and producers around the world in various countries to release the first "WorldTape" entitled "Out of Sight Out of Mind" - the cover to which can be seen in full by clicking the new image above. "Out of Sight Out of Mind," which is due for release in January 2008, will be the first in the "WorldTape" series that will eventually see versions appear for Japan, Canada, Italy, South America, UK, Germany and countless more. This is a completely new vision and Dubcnn and its readers are involved from the start.
We are calling out to any artists or producers from any country that want to be involved to come forward and get involved in this game-changing, world-impacting, promotion-heavy project. Get involved today by contacting theworldtape@aol.com.
It wouldn't be right if we dropped all this information without some fresh new audio and in true Dubcnn style we have a single from next months first "WorldTape" - "Out of Sight Out of Mind." The track sees Shade Sheist linked back up with Damizza (on production) and features previously Dubcnn Featured LeMarvin.

1215728387 - January 1, 1970 By : We first introduced you to Barstow, CA, artist Clinton Wayne with his acclaimed debut album "Tsoul Ghetto", which he followed up a year later with "Regal Muzik", which was selected as one of the albums of the year 2006 by the dubcnn staff.
You might have been wondering what happened to the self acclaimed "King Of The Desert", who showed himself to be a promising young rapper with a bright future ahead of him. He's finally back with his first ever radio single, "Baby Mama".
While working on his upcoming solo album "Desert Eagle", Clinton Wayne has been doing some experimenting and came up with his new single, "Baby Mama", for which he hooked up with up and coming producer Ciscoe from Norway. Ciscoe delivers a certified West Coast banger, reminiscent of Battlecat at his best.
Listen to "Baby Mama" below:
Clinton Wayne - Baby Mama - Windows Media | Quick Time
Yes, that is Clinton Wayne singing on the track! Of course, he also drops a rap later on in the track, don't worry. The K.O.D. shows his versitality on this one, giving you a taste of what to expect from his "Desert Eagle" album. The record is set to feature production from XL Middleton, Dae One, F Major, Dr. Stank, Beatthoven, THX, Ben Franklin and many more.
Before we go, here's another recent Clinton Wayne track called "Tha Yard":

Be on the lookout for "Desert Eagle"!

1216064045 - January 1, 1970 By : XL Middleton has been busy lately working with new artists like Young Sau & The Knucklheds that we're going to feature today. Before we get to them, XL just told us that he's shooting a video with Coolie High aka Coolwadda & Dr. Stank this weekend in Moreno Valley, so you can look forward to seeing that soon!
We've got four new records for you today from Young Sau out of San Diego. After appearing on XL Middleton's single "Gettin Breezy" with Sly Boogy last year, he is finally set to release his street album "Dagorilla Out The Cage" and we have some exclusive tracks for you to preview.
Once "Dagorilla" drops later this year, Sau will also be in the studio doing an entire album with XL Middleton which has been likened to a West Coast version of "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" with Sau at the forefront and XL playing a Ghostface-like background role. Check out four Sau records below.
Young Sau - Match 1 (ft. & Prod. by David Moss)
Young Sau - More Money (Prod. by David Moss)
Young Sau - Outta Pocket B*tch (ft. Mr. Shadow & Haze) [Prod. by PCR]
Young Sau - Backstage ft. I-Rocc & Ronnie Ru [Prod. by XL Middleton]
Check out Sau's Myspace by clicking here and be sure to check out "Dagorilla Out The Cage" when it drops!
The Knucklheds are a three-man Latino act hailing from Los Angeles who are set to release their first effort "Double Fisted" in August 2008 on XL Middleton's Crown City Entertainment label. Their sound is described as "defying the label of backpack rap," and we've got two records for you today that exemplify this. Check them out below.

The Knucklheds - Take A Trip

1221343123 - January 1, 1970 By : It is almost two months since we last had news from the San Fernando Valley native Hectic. It was in that update where we informed you that the Latin MC had successfully sold over 32,000 units of his "Real Life Real Lyrics" album and that he was already well underway with his sophomore project.
"I'm A Hustler" is the culmination of months of studio time and consistant writing and recording. The release date of the project was July 18th and, as we told you back in July, features Hot Dollar and MDK, the latter of whom features on the title track which can be downloaded here.
Island Def Jam signee and Dubcnn regular Hot Dollar makes an appearance on a track on the album called "On The Westside" which is produced by Cre8atone. Other production comes from and Da Wanderer.
The track can be listened to in one of our Brand New Streaming Audio players as well as downloaded for free. Both those options - as well as the options to embed the song on your MySpace pages or even on our forum are within the link below.

1224660953 - January 1, 1970 By : It's been a little while since we updated you on Coolie High - formally Coolwadda of the duo Chico & Coolwadda. Since his 2005 summer mixtape "Wadda Damage Volume 1" he released the second installment in early 2006 which was mixed by D-Tect (DJ of F.I.L.T.H.E.E. Immigrants and Chico & Coolwadda) and hosted by DJ Fingaz.
Since then he has been working in a group called Bozak Black Sox aka Bozak Trybe, consisting of Doe Boy, 40 Bronson,
Slik Bizness aka Rhym Slik, CY Bravo and Juice.
As we reported in June with our Weekend Audio Vol. 7, the West Coast ensemble hooked up with Nate Dogg for a single entitled Life produced by Lab Ratz. [Editors Note: This music was recorded prior to Nate Dogg's recent stroke.] This certified banger was the first track taken from a new mixtape entitled "Get The Bozak Volume 1" which has now been made available for download via the Dubcnn Digital Distribution Network.
"Get The Bozak Volume 1" is hosted by DJ Baby Gee of Cali Kings/Queens and features sole production from Lab Ratz, the collective consisting of Mr Kushington, Shockey Kong, & Genesis Ian. The project is being released under the Asphalt Entertainment label and features verses from all the Bozak Black Sox as well as appearances from Spliff Star (of Flipmode Squad), XL Middleton, Dr Stank and Nate Dogg.

1224960166 - January 1, 1970 By : A few years ago, Sly Boogy was considered one of the most promising artists coming up out of the West Coast. Not only did he possess an incredible lyrical skill but Sly was also putting the I.E. (Inland Empire) on the map.
As most of you know, he was set to come out through J Records, with his successful "California" single building his buzz, but (what a surprise), label issues kept Sly from having the success he was supposed to have. After his Scott Storch produced banger "That's My Name" revived his buzz for a while, as of late it seemed as if the King of The I.E. was nowhere to be found.
That being said, I have some great news for all the Sly Boogy fans out there. He contacted dubcnn this week to get the word out about his new EP, which is entitled "Beauty Of Death" and will be dropping for free download on dubcnn on October 31st.
Incase some of you thought that Sly might have lost his touch after his long absence, get ready to be proven wrong. We have three tracks off the EP for you to preview and you will see that the man is still sharp as ever. The track "Let's Go" is also the single, for which a video is being shot, so look out for that on dubcnn soon.
Sly Boogy - Let's Go!
Sly Boogy - West Up (ft. Kierra)
Sly Boogy - Keep On (ft. Crooked I, Kam, Miss King & A.P.)
We also have a short promo video for the "Beauty of Death" EP, which is pretty controversial, check it out below:
Sly Boogy - The Beauty Of Death EP (Promo Video)
Features on the album include the PBG, a group consisting of Sly Boogy, RnB and Dirty Birdy, as well as Crooked I, Kam and vocalists Kierra, Miss King, AP and Jah Free. Production was provided by TWhy, XL Middleton, The System, Tweek Beatz, and Noah Ayala.
The "Beauty Of Death" EP is just a prelude to a full length album that will be released in early '09. Get ready for the return of Sly Boogy, the man has a lot to get off his chest!
