His official website has just launched, check it out now at WeWantRampage.com. You will find all the informaton regarding the man right there, from all his mixtapes, to his bio, aswell as some audio.

Another Watts representer has earned some "shine-time" on dubcnn, this time we have the Los Angeles born and raised artist; Halla. Equipped with slick punch lines and metaphors but with the ability to construct a track which comprises a concept and concise structure.
In these days where everyone and they momma is a rapper his kind is a rarity and welcome addition to the talent that is floating around the westcoast. Since his Senior year of High School Halla has been working on music with a passion and devotion that has earned him respect and reognition on a local level.
Mixtapes have turned heads and helped aid the "Watts City" movement in gaining prominence. Having been steadily working he has created a catalogue of music that comprises of just over two albums; with tracks from some of the most talented producers in the gamer. Halla is currently pitching his demo to labels and A&R's to land the coveted prize of a record deal. With the "Watts City" movement [including; Bad Lucc, Stix and Wifyi (Pronounced Wi-Fee)] behind him and the westcoast as a whole beginning to take note he has plans to create a platform for himself and others to showcase themselves.
As a talented songwriter he brings a fusion of R&B & Hip Hop to enable him to be receptable to a wide audience while still maintaining the essence that has created his buzz. His flow on the tracks we have to showcase below give you the chance to see how he can switch up and hop on any production that may come his way.
The emphasis behind the work and the grind has been his Mother, Daughter and Son who give him the urge to succeed in this industry and as such you can usually find him locked in a studio day and night recording or performing shows to get his foot in the door. Believe the hype, listen to the energy and embrace the fresh sound of Halla.
We have two cuts below for you to listen to; one is produced by the incredible talent that is T.H.X. and features the vocal tones of Lisa whereas the other is laced by Chordz, both are very different and showcase Halla's talents perfectly. Let me tell you that "Have You Ever" has been on repeat in the dubcnn offices all day today.
Halla - Have You Ever (Feat. Lisa) (Produced By. T.H.X.)
Halla - Snap (Produced By. Chordz)
Don't sleep on these tracks, feel free to spread them around and DJ's give them play. Look for more from Halla in the near future. Shouts to Bad Lucc & the whole "Watts City" movement.

Watts, CA is fast emerging once again as a hot bed of unsigned talent and skills both from a lyrical angle and a production standpoint. Today we are proud to present an artist born in Watts before moving later in life to South Central LA.
Jag was born Ryan Joyner, raised in a single parent home by his mother. Music was not in his mindset until 1994 when he heard the Notorious B.I.G's hit single "Juicy" on the radio - it was then he felt a desire to embrace the culture and attempt to tackle the music industry as he grew up.
We have complied a complete On The Come Up article on Jag which includes details on his youth, getting involved with the Watts City movement [Bad Lucc, Halla & Stix], working with producers including 1500 [Dogghouse production], Klasic and five-time Grammy nominated Ricc Rude as well as details on his recent New York "Fight Klub" successes where he is set to battle T-Rex for the crown next month on MTV
Click here to read our On The Come Up feature on Jag
We also have two banging tracks available for download from Jag, one produced by Ricc Rude called "Cant' F-ck With Me" and the other by T.H.X called "For Real".
Jag - Can't F-ck With Me (Produced By. Ricc Rude)
Jag - For Real (Produced By. T.H.X.)
This is just an introduction to Jag, we will be covering more news and details from him over the coming months as he prepares to return to New York for the "Fight Klub" event as well as new material he is working on.

We’re back with another huge exclusive feature. This time, Dubcnn linked up with Tyrese, aka Black Ty, for a colossal feature that no other media outlet could pull off. We were invited to join Tyrese as he went to a photoshoot, and he was kind enough to let us capture the whole day on film. In the first part of this double feature event, Black Ty describes his experiences filming “Transformers,” which is coming to a theater near you July 3rd. He also clues us in on an important “unspoken truth” that debilitates African-American actors in the film industry.
After this, you will get a sneak peek at some of the talent on Tyrese’s record label, Headquarter Entertainment. We speak with Watts native Stix, who talks about his rock group, Life Nine, and his hosting duties at the rap battle event “The Pit” in Los Angeles. We also meet up with Curtains, a Brooklyn MC who is ready to become the next rap superstar. Watch the entire feature by clicking the link below.
Exclusive Video Feature With Tyrese [Part 1] (June 2007)
Make sure to go see “Transformers,” which hits theaters July 3rd. Check out more of Stix at his Myspace page here, and check out his rock/rap group Life Nine here. To hear more from Curtains, visit his Myspace page as well.
Keep checking back next week as we drop the second part of this informative, exciting interview.

We're back today with the fifth installment of Stix's two-month marathon of mixtape drops. "StixTape Months" will continue through the end of September, with a new mixtape dropping every Thursday right here on Dubcnn.
Today we're presenting "Fricxhen: The Pre-Album Sampler." One could call this project a full-length album, as it features all original tracks from the Watts MC. However, Stix said that "I just want to show people that I can make a mixtape of all throwaway songs, and they sound better than everybody else's albums!"
If these are just the throwaway tracks from Stix's forthcoming full-length project, imagine how great the album is going to sound! Take a listen for yourself by following the link below.

Stix wants to hear from you, so be sure to drop your feedback on our forums and on his Myspace Page.

As many of you may have noticed, last week's "StixTape" drop was curiously absent. Stix pushed the release back on purpose, because he wants to go head-to-head with 50 Cent and Kanye West. He's real serious about taking over the game, and this is what he had to say about it. "I'm the West Coast 50, the West Coast Kanye, the West Coast Jay-Z, [and] the West Coast Weezy wrapped in 1 artist. I can't be stopped! So I'm gonna drop this one today and still release a mixtape this Thursday. For the Dubcnn readers and fans, next Thursday I will drop 3 mixtapes at one time! B-Legit has been a major player on the West Coast for many years as both a founding father of the independent rap scene and strong contributor to the Bay Area Hip Hop movement. In November, following a long hiatus, B-Legit will release his latest album "Throwblock Muzic" which is currently being finalised.
Having been a staple in the Bay Area music scene for years as a pioneer and business man B-Legit helped put his hometown of Vallejo and the greater Bay Area on the map.
"Hands On Them Knees" is the first single off "Throwblock Muzic" which has a total of 16 tracks. The album features appearances from E-40, Mac Dre, Clyde Carson and Levitti as well as production from Mike Mosely, Goldfingaz, Stix, Troy Sanders and E-A-Ski. Always one to help up and coming Bay Area rappers, B-Legit also features artists he signed to his label, Block Movement, on the album - including Taj-He-Spitz, Duna, 2wiceberg Slym and Harm from the Rich.
The concept for "Throwblock Muzic" is a bit different stated B-Legit in a recent press release; "I stay recording, so I have songs that I love but didn't fit on my last album and don't fit on my new album so I took my favorite ones, touched 'em up, recorded some new songs and came up with Throwblock Muzic."
"Throwblock Muzic" also features some tracks that were until that time only released on mixtapes, he has remixed them and added new artists to the songs. "Throwblock Muzic" is said to be only the first phase in B-Legit's Block Movement; "My last album hit before the Hyphy Movement broke, I'm known for that classic mob music so I fell back and went to work. I gave the kids a chance but now I have to step in and do what I do best. Throwblock Muzic is to hold you over until Block Business."
Throwblock Muzic will surely redefine why B-Legit aims to redefine himself as one of the legendary artists of the Bay Area when "Throwblock Muzic" hits stores via SMC Recordings on November 20th 2007. Block Business is then set for release in March of 2008.

Looks like some coward over on the DPG board has barred me for speaking up about where the CDs and DVDs I ordered a long time ago are.
Why didn't ya'll holla at me.. tell me whats up? actually.. why didn't you holla at me EVER about this shit? and where has the customer service section over at DPG gone.. you think you can sweep it under the carpet?
Like I said on their forum. DPG/GA as an outfit have no respect. On the music side theres respect, but that's where it stops.
Ask yourself why instead of talking to me they just ban me from the forum. If you lose your money with DPG/GA don't say I never tried to warn ya'll.
If you know whats up, got ripped off too, or want to speak freely on this..
>> Holla at me on our forum <<
ps.. quick addition.. more and more victims are coming out of the woodwork! don't hold back! thanks for the support :)

Los Angeles, CA- Lawyers for the hip hop artist Ras Kass, (John Austin), filed a civil complaint in the Los Angeles County Superior Court against Priority Records today. The music industry’s common practice of binding recording artists into contracts for an extended period of time is being specifically attacked by the complaint.
Ras Kass, who has been signed to Priority since 1995, is demanding that he be released from his recording contract based on specific acts of breach by Priority Records, Capitol Records and EMI and intentional and malicious misrepresentations made by Priority Records, as well as Priority Records executives Wendy Goldstein and Andrew Shack. In the past, Ras Kass has formally and informally sought release from the label based on specific provisions in his contract, which allow him to do so; still Priority Records has refused to release him.
The civil complaint alleges the following causes of action: 1) Declaratory Relief Re Labor Code Section 2855(b); 2) Unfair Competition; 3) Restraint of Trade; 4) Rescission of Agreement; 5) Breach of Contract; 6) Breach of the Implied Covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing; 7) Intentional Interference with Prospective Economic Advantage; 8) Negligent Interference with Business Relationships; and 9) Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress and alleges damages in excess of five million dollars.
Courtney Love, 311, Metallica, Prince and others have filed similar civil complaints challenging record labels over contract terms. Courtney Love had particularly similar issues when Universal failed to promote her album and held her to her contract for more than 7 years. Love’s case settled in late 2003.
In 1995, Ras Kass signed onto Priority with goals of using his craft to teach people about religion, politics and his art. To date Ras Kass has had only two albums officially released. Priority never released the anticipated Van Gogh and/or Goldyn Chyld albums. Critics from The Source Magazine described his debut album Soul On Ice (1996), as “spectacular.” Rolling Stone magazine gave it 4-1/2 stars. His second album, Rasassination (1998) received similar reviews. Rahiem Shabazz, writer and critic claims “Rasassination is a testament of true hip-hop.” Over 3,000 Internet based fans have signed an on-line petition in order to “Free Ras Kass”. The list was presented to the label in 2002, but was never taken seriously.
Ras Kass’ career has the support of many industry professionals. Hip Hop artist and host of MTV’s Pimp My Ride, Xzibit, stated that “Ras Kass is THE SPITTER; I respect him as an artist, and he takes Hip-Hop and music seriously. His skill and his talent come from a genuine place. The West Coast is waiting to hear something that explosive.”
Hip Hop pioneer, KRS-1 had this to say “First of all Ras Kass is my man. All 25,000 members of the Temple Of Hip Hop are down with Ras Kass. He’s the only MC to give me, KRS-1 a run for my money!”
Other artists/producers who have supported his talent, and have worked with Ras Kass, are Eminem, Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes, Twista, David Banner, Pharoahe Monch, Mos Def and many many more. Multi Platinum producer, Mike City claims “I just want Ras to make music and be able to provide for his family. He’s one of the best rappers out!”
Supporters also include former VP executive at Priority/Capitol, Mr. Dave Weiner. He recently stated that “Ras Kass is one of the best MC’s on the West Coast, and in the world. It’s a shame that Ras Kass hasn’t been given the opportunity to present his talent to the masses. Compared to the talent that is getting support from the major label systems in place today, none of them can stand up to Ras Kass’ talent.”
Former manager and Founder of Rap Coalition, Wendy Day stands behind what Ras Kass is doing and said, “I am happy to hear Ras Kass taking back control of his life and career by refusing to be bullied anymore by Priority Records. The artist has been the underdog in this industry for far too long and it is about time that an artist held their label accountable for damages in a court of law. I stand in solidarity with Ras Kass and support his efforts to regain his freedom from this Goliath!"
EMI/Capitol is a major record label and home to such artists as Coldplay, Radiohead, The Vines, Chingy, and Snoop Dogg. Over a course of 9 years, Priority has only distributed two of four Ras Kass albums and failed to promote either properly, with promises of much more. Lack of promotion and marketing on Priority’s behalf, left Ras Kass no choice but to seek other means. “I want what is fair; all I want is to create great music, have the proper team behind me, and be the artist that I am. I am prepared to do what it takes in order to be released from this ugly situation.”

News taken from TVTRecords.com:
TVT Records has announced the worldwide signing of hip-hop supergroup 213, featuring acclaimed hip-hop artists Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg and Warren G. 213's debut album, The Hard Way, will be released on TVT Records on July 20th, 2004. A decade-plus in the making, the group's highly anticipated first full length album release The Hard Way is set to rock the hip-hop world with the unprecedented combination of these three talented hip-hop stars.
Named after the area code of Long Beach, CA, the city in which all members of the group grew up, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg and Warren G originally formed 213 as teenagers in Los Angeles before breaking off to have renowned and record breaking solo careers. Upon splintering in the late 80's, they made a pact that, if they all succeeded as solo artists, they would return to their roots and pick up 213 where they left off. After a couple of stints attempting a reunion, most notably on the track "Ain't No Fun" on Snoop Dogg's critically-acclaimed album Doggystyle, it was not until the three combined forces again for a song off Warren G's 2001 release Return to the Regulator, that they were able to make 213's reunion official.
Before completing work on The Hard Way, 213's bootleg track, entitled "So Fly," exploded on to airwaves all over their hometown of Los Angeles. The track featured the instrumentation of Monica's "So Gone" and became the #1 song on Power 106 in Los Angeles, in addition to receiving heavy rotation on The Beat. The tremendous success of the song highlighted the excitement surrounding this trio's return, dominating the West Coast's top urban radio stations.
As the buzz on this highly anticipated record and reunion continues to build, the album's first official single, "Groupy Luv" is starting to bubble up on radio station playlists nationwide.
