He used to be a bodyguard for NWA, right? So how does he go from that to owning a Record Label? Did he have a lot of money or power before that? If so then why was he just a bodyguard?
-
he was a player for the rams (NFL). then he retired for some reason or another, dunno why. probably took up bodyguarding for some straight paper. then he has dr. dre to help him pay for the label. also, dont forget harry o. plenty of his crack money supposedly went into founding death row too. it wasnt all just suge, he had dre, harry o, and probably some investors i think.

Harry O funded death row...
-
they did a lot of drug dealing and came up with a lot of money to found the label...
-
According to convicted felon Michael "Harry-o" Harris, he gave Suge 1.5 million to start Deathrow. Harris' wife filed a lawsuit claiming Harry O funded the label, and I think she won a judgment against Tha Row because Deathrow didn't respond in time.

Suge was a bodyguard for Bobby Brown, Not NWA.....

^ he was also a bodyguard for The DOC :)

I'm sure he also a manager around the same time.

he fucked up his leg in Rams training camp, which is why he never played football...he did play with a couple of pro's though in college

naw, The D.O.C. said that he never ever paid Suge for security or anything like that and everybody just assumed that Suge was his bodyguard since he looked like one. but in fact Suge and The D.O.C. were just friends. i think it was in D.O.Cīs interview with ThaFormula he spoke on it but i could be wrong.
