nah tha anti weed propaganda goes back to tha 30's. Tha reason tha gov't made it illegal was b/c they couldnt tax it. You could grow it anywhere. Tha hemp plant was bringin in almost as much as tobacco. Tha gov't is able to tax that. wit more people using hemp products tha tobacco was losing money thus tha gov't also lost money. so tha govt made it illegal.

Beer is an acquired taste. I used to not like it but now I love it. Plus you got to drink good microbrew, not that crap like coors, miller, bud, etc.
And here is the main reason I see weed not being legalized. Because it will fuck up the economy and therefor too many people will vote against it.
If weed were legal:
1.There would be no need for cotton, because hemp is so much easier to produce. Everyone in the cotton industry will vote against the legalization of weed.
2.Less need for alcohol. Every alcohol manufacturer would vote against it, IE coors, Jack Daniels, Budwieser, etc.
3.Less Police officers needed. Millions of people are busted each year for weed charges, if weed was legalized thousand of police officers would not be needed and they would lose their jobs.
4.Less prison guards, rehab centers, judges, courts, jails, etc.
reason same as above.
See all these people involved with these companies would vote against it, not to mention all the weed growers and drug dealers, and tobacco companies. And on top of that pot smokers are a lazy bunch, so it is hard to get them to vote. Damn I have been able to vote for almost 4 years now and I still haven't even registered to vote.
