According to numerologist Christians, computer use should be avoided at all costs, and here's why: the Bible says the "number of man" is "6", so numerologists juxtapose the English alphabet alongside an incremental addition of the number "6" (A=6, B=12, C=18, D=24, and so on). If you add the cumulative value of the letters that spell the word "computer", you wind up with "666", the "mark of the beast"!

And if you combine one of each of Japan's coin currency (500, 100, 50, 10, 5, 1) you get 666. So don't go to Japan, or buy or use any of their products. In fact don't even talk to someone whose been to Japan.

if man's number is 6 it isn't 6 in english, it's 6 in some old semitic or sanskrit language.

666 is apparently also on all barcodes, for "positioning and orientation". i personally don't think the usage of 666 wherever it appears is ever a coincidence (other than with "computer", which is a conjugation of "compute"); rather it's some great conspiracy that is so huge people would rather laugh at it then take it seriously. i suspect that true coincidences are rare in occurence. most things happen for a reason.
