Title: Does anyone here still support GWB?
Post by: Ant on April 18, 2006, 09:12:08 PM
Just wondering, cuz right now this dude has a positive approval rating in only 4 states in the union.

http://www.surveyusa.com/50State2006/06041850StatePOTUSNet.html

The worst states he has approval ratings in the mid 20s, and even in his home state he has a negative approval rating.

I'm in favor of removing those 4 states from the union.

It doesn't matter though, two Cali counties have the same population as these 4 states, but they have more electoral votes. In the end, if there was an election tomorrow, Bush would still win against any Democrat on the ticket, unless Bill Clinton was to run again or Obama could make people see past color.

This right here is proof why we need to stop illegal immigration.

I got excepted by one of the top 50 colleges in the country, a private school named St. Olaf, so I decided why the fuck not. I was poor enough to get a decent package, and I found a girl out here I really love, and it's nicer out here than it is in the ghetto. I mean, after, I could have stayed in San Bernardino, stayed in the ghetto, still live in my father's apartment, have my car broken into, again, have people try to jump me as I walk to the store, again, and have my kids repeat everything I went through, or I could simply just move to a better place, where I know my kids will have a great education without any Terminators trying to cut education budgets, and my girl's family is really cool. Hey, I moved to MN, and my girlfriend is an immigrant from the Philippians, I think Tech is right, maybe I'm a Terrorist. After all, I voted for Kerry. That's a very terrorist thing to do.

I've already given those reasons, but if you need a reminder...

"According to the Treasury Department, the forty-two presidents who held office between 1789 and 2000 borrowed a combined total of $1.01 trillion from foreign governments and financial institutions. But between 2001 and 2005 alone, the Bush White House borrowed $1.05 trillion, more than all of the previous presidencies combined. "

Abu Graib
Stonewalling

Osama
Jeff Gannon
His stance on stem cell research

Policies that stand opposed to the voices of reason on almost every significant subject...

Economists don't agree with him
Scowcroft disagrees with him
Fukuyama, the well known neo-con thinks he is a moron.
Buckley called him a failure

I've gone thru these things before.... but why do u like him?

why'd you cite orange county, then cite a bunch of cities in l.a. county?  l.a. county must be close to six million on it's own, looking at your numbers.

edit:
l.a. county has ten million by itself

Because I think he is strong on the economy, terrorism, and social issues. I think obviously his biggest weakness is the handling of the Iraq war. But it will be decades before we know whether that was a success or failure.

I can understand why certain people believe he is strong on terrorism and social stuff... he's closer to you're worldview on those things, but strong on the economy?

He generated $1T in debt that we now owe mostly to China and Japan.  How is that good economics?

Are you a good business man if you temporarily increase sales by going on a massive spending spree, ignoring your cash balance, and burdening your company with more debt in 4 years than it accumulated in 200 years before you took over?
