Title: How can watch  a .m2v file?????

i downloaded a music video with the extension being .m2v...........i tried  to watch on media player but it would not play..........it said to install some codec but i dont know which one.........somebody  help me!!!!!!!!!

you need to get power dvd.  You can d/l a trial version for free.  I would hook you up with the full version, but it is on my computer at home and I won't be back there till the middle of september.

.m2v=SVCD format (Super Video CD).

I have got a codec installed here which plays them that was freeware from ages ago but their website is dead now, try http://www.vcdhelp.com/tools for some other codecs instead.
