Tha Row have now removed all references to Kurupt. the intro page has reverted to the "alize/snitch" one.
He's also been pulled from the artist section.
and sohh.com are reporting the following.
In what seemed to be a backwards move for Kurupt, claims by Tha Row about the rapper signing with them is false. This week, a message was posted on the Tha Row's website saying, "That's Rite, Kurupt is the newest member of Tha Row Family! The contract is signed and he's once again f*ckin with tha real n*ggaz in the game. Look for his album coming later this year!"
According to Kurupt's management and publicist, the claim is totally false and is most likely a publicity stunt. Kurupt is still signed with Antra Records and is currently working on several projects with Gangfile Records, DPG Recordz and Snoop's Dogghouse Records.
According to the official DPG Recordz website, Tha Row offered Kurupt a contract but he turned them down and nothing was signed. The website also informs fans that DPG Recordz will drop an EP titled Tha Row Killa which will feature Daz, Kurupt and the rest of the Dogg Pound Gangsta Click.

i just got off the phone with Bigg A, Daz's manager and member of the DPG family. Here is what is going on. After yesterdays very controversial day it seems things have turned for the worse, even tho we hope not. After we called Death Row's bluff and won and Kurupt was proven to not be signed to Tha Row, it seems Suge Knight took things into his own hand. From what Bigg A told me, Kurupt like Daz said met up with Suge Knight last nite and from there was lead to the airport and again like Daz said took a red eye flight to New York. We know Kurupt being the humble person he is was not forced to meet with Knight but rather in hopes of smoothing over this situation with Knight and DPG Recordz met with Suge voluntarily. So currently we dont know where Kurupt is, Daz doesnt know, Fredwreck doesnt know, Snoop doesnt know, Kurupt's manager doesnt know. So as you can see this is a very tryin time for the DPG family. We ask you to lend us all your support and if ANYONE we mean ANYONE has legitement information on Kurupt's whereabouts or can get us in direct contact with him please do so by private messaging me or Kronik and we will reply asap. Thanks for your time and dont worry, DPG still gonna be running things, cuz it aint nothin to a boss.

We might find out what the fuck is going on tonight at 1:35am eastern time, right after Conan O'Brian, on NBC when Suge is on Carson Daly's show, which I think is based in NYC. I'm definately gonna be watching because now .

now I'm hearing that Kurupt AND Crooked I flew to NYC, and Suge is meeting with Antra. But if that convo that overseer posted is true, then Kurupt is on Tha Row? I guess the legal shit didn't end with the pics of Kurupt on the website, so I guess that's why Suge went to Antra. I doubt Suge "dogg-napped" Kurupt, especially if Crooked I did come along. Maybe they will both be on Carson Daly's show along with SUge when it airs early thursday morning.
The funny thing about Daz mentioning Vanilla Ice is that Vanilla Ice took back his story that Suge threatened him a couple years ago, which was almost 2 years after he said on NBC Primetime or ABC 20/20 that Suge hung him over a balcony.

This is a relatively big story if theres any legitamacy. Also, Somebody mentioned the Vanilla Ice thing and how vanilla ice said that SUGE didnt do it years later, but come on-we all know Suge did it but Vanilla was fearing for his life so he tried to make Suge out to be the good guy.

KURUPT JOINS THE DARK SIDE?
Well...it seems Kurupt has turned to 'the Dark Side'. Yet, this is still not an official signing. Suge Knight has to approximately pay 60-70 million dollars in order to attain the full rights to Kurupt. It was rumored Kurupt would be appearing alongside Suge Knight on the Carson Daly Show [The Last Call] tonight. This will not be happening. Every DPG member (Snoop, Daz, Bad Azz, Fredwreck,...) is saddened by the turn of events. At the current time Kurupt is NOT down with the pound. As Daz said it 'we're now divorced'. If Kurupt does, finally, ink the contract from Tha Row he will no longer be Dogg Pound affiliated. Daz will no longer work with him. Neither will Snoop, Bad Azz, Tray Dee, Goldie Loc, Fredwreck, and any other artist/producer affiliated with the Dogg Pound. We're working on getting you guys quotes from each of the Dogg Pound artists. We will not know if Kurupt is OFFICIALLY on Tha Row until Monday.

I heard the whole thing...Kurupt was there to officially anounce that he's on tha row...Young Eastwood and Crooked I were also there along with Suge...They were a couple of hours late so they didn't get to any details, Suge said that they were all going to be back early on Monday to do the interview...They played a new Crooked I joint forgot the name of it, as usual Crooked was sick with the lyrics and had a pretty tight beat...Angie asked Suge soon as he got there if he rolls deep and he said nah that's them Aftermath niggas...I think that's the only time Suge made a mention of them but again he was there a short time...Kurupt sounded pshyced to be back and said he'll adress all of the questions Monday...Peace...

At first, I was real happy when I heard Kurupt was signing with Tha Row.. and now we know its official but the thing is, from what we've heard from DPGRecordz.com (they can eat a fat dick, by the way), the rest of the DPG ain't gonna fuck with him no more. So now I got mixed feelings about this. I was hoping this move would bring DPG and Tha Row together again, but it did the oppisite. Who knows, maybe everything will be cool down the road.. we can only hope.

so it's official...cool we finally got confirmation from kurupt
now this is what makes me mad....it seems as if kurupt has drivin his home boys off...i dunno if he intetionally did it or not, but the fact of the matter is he doesn't have a core (and i emphasize CORE) part of his career in his corner now (daz, fred, ect.) that's a big loss for both kurupt and westcoast fans. also it's weird, maybe kurupt didn't know everyone of his friends would call him a sell out and stop working with him, and just figured, hey i'll sign with the row and be cool with everyone ...understandable (and i hope this is the situatioin) But the thing that kinda irks me is how Kurupt laughed when they asked suge if he rolled deep and suge said "naw that's only for them aftermath niggaz".....maybe it was nothin' , but what if kurupt actually did this to spite everyone who we thought he was cool with (which i REAAAAAAAALLLLY hope isn't the case)

I don't know if I'd go that far. Kurupt isn't a real hot seller like Dre and Snoop are. It's a significant step for Tha Row though, and could help position them at the top. Kurupt is ill as fuck, he could blow up if he gets the right beats, the right videos, and the right exposure.

out of those, you have 3 producers (Fred Wreck, Battlecat, Mel-Man), one producer who can't write lyrics very well (Dr. Dre), an R&B artist who could be average at best (Truth Hurts) (and peeps diss Tha Row for having R&B artists? Dogghouse has Butch Cassidy and Latoya Williams as well), One legendary MC that has no clue when his album is dropping (Rakim), one artist that should have dropped an album a couple years ago while people knew who he was (Hittman), an egomaniac with his own label who has very limited business knowledge (Snoop), 2 artists on his label that will be pushed back to accomadate another Snoop album and an album by the George Clinton imposter (Tray Deee and Soopafly) .
Tha Row has a sense of direction right now, something Dogghouse doesn't have right now, with their switching distributors and not releasing solo albums by artists on their roster not named Snoop or Tha Eastsidaz, and Aftermath, who just dropped a BIG time flop with The Wash soundtrack and very little depth (although Rakim makes up for it, no one knows when his album will drop).
Tha Row has the depth needed to survive. They got the gangsta shit with Crooked I, Eastwood, Kurupt, Spider Loc, Above The Law, and whatever "artists in development" are on the label (most likely Swoop G). They got the R&B shit with PB, J. Valentine, and (sadly when his contract situation gets cleared up) Ray J. Production they got Hutch, Triple 7 productions (Crooked I, Darren Vargas, and some other dude), Devante, and DJ Quik, who all bring heat, whether it goes mainstream or not. Many artists are down with Tha Row, including Murder Inc Records, The Lox, Scarface, Boo Yah Tribe, Treach,
my opinions on the artists vary from your jake, but more important than the artists is the direction that the companies are going in. Tha Row is rising. They have made many moves within the time that Suge has gotten out 5 months ago to reshape the label, and progress to become one of the top labels in the industry.
Suge Knight has done a lot of work to get Tha Row going again after being in a coma for 5 years, and they are moving in the right direction. What has Dogghouse done to improve their label within the same 5 months?

Kurupt goes to Deathrow cause he wants to push more units. Look at Space Boogie,Streetz iz a Mutha and Kuruption. None have gone platinum I believe. When Kurupt was on Death Row though he was a platinum rapper. However the situation is different now, no Dre or Daz producing for him. He loses connections to them and his almost personal producer Fred Wreck as well as the whole DPGC family(Soopafly,Bad Azz,Nate Dogg etc....) Dr.Dre doesn't offer him a contract cause he is only interested in new acts and like Death Row, he takes forever to release albums( :(sorry that is the truth,look at Hittman and Rakim). He doesn't go to Doggystyle with Snoop cause they have too many damn acts and lets face it some of their releases have flopped big time. He signs with Death Row cause Suge Knight is back!!!!!! People laugh,ridicule and get mad at tha row cause they haven't released a good album(besides 2pac) in years. They only released diss records and shit. But all that time Suge was behind bars and had no way of making his influence felt. Now hes out and making big moves. Signing Kurupt and building new bridges for the row. Man, I think Dre gonna stay out of it. I mean what he got to gain, Aftermath pushes a lot of unit, and As soon as Rakim and Hitman drops, along with Eminem, they'll have 3 of the best M.C.s out there.
Doggystyle and D.P.G. Recordz though are in a different situation, as neither one pushes a lot of units unless it's a Snoop Dogg CD, and both have good artist, but none as lyrically talented as Kurupt or Crooked I. I haven't heard Eastwood, but I'm assuming his good, and if Swoop G is still around, then Tha Row has a very talented roster. D.P.G. and Doggystyle need to like combined labels, and sign Nate and Warren so that their roster can hold some power, because I think that does hurt some sales. They need to unify, first to get a stonger base of core star for people to buy, then feature other talent so that people can identify who's who, and they would support a Bad Azz, or Tray Deee.

I agree. I mean look at all the opportunities Kurupt has now. Instead of having to feature all over Snoop & Dre's work to get a minimal ammount of attention, he is now the main star of a big record company with a big history.

I can guarantee that The Source & other rap mag's will have Tha Row articles, photo shoots & covers in the near future. Everyone who likes west coast rap have there eyes & ears on this whole situation. People are curious as to whether Crooked I will blow up, what impact Left Eye will have, what Kurupt has to say & what the new artists sound like.
Now, Kurupt, instead of being in the shadow of Eminem, Dre & Snoop like the Eastsidaz, D-12 & others have takin, Kurupt gets to truely stand out on his own & possibly get recognized as a solo artist & great rapper on his own rather than "the guy who is friends with Snoop & Dre"

Rumor is that Suge is suppossed to offer DJ Quik a contract as an independent producer on tha row...Quik won't be signed as an artist cause he just signed a new deal recently but if this rumor is true and ain't BS it's definitely a step in the right direction...Quik would bring some creativity musically to the row rather than the generic production it now has...

I don't really know what to think anymore. On the one hand, Kurupt did likely lie to his friends, and signed with those that have spent much of the last few years dissing them. But on the other hand, if this is Kurupt's chance, I can understand why he would need to take it. I see why DPG wouldn't work with him anymore, as he didn't seem to show them loyality, but on the other hand, it would be nice if the friendship was stronger than the label. I'm confused. I just hope Kurupt hits the big time. He has his mind on big things, bigger than Tupac.

the subject of this topic changed but i wanna bring it back to kurupt and hit you up with some info, thought some of yall may be interested.
Here's the scoop on Kurupts & Tha Row's situation.Kurupt is in the whole with Antra Records for a large amount of money. So Kurupt has been doing some cuts, guest appearing on some Deathrow artist tracks. Suge told Kurupt that he would give a million if he would sign with the Row. Kurupt was like cool, because he wants out of his Antra situation. Deathrow contacted Antra and Antra was like if he pays us the money he owes us (Kurupt still owes Antra 3 albums), and Deathrow settle the million dollar lawsuit with Daz, we'll release Kurupt. So they are still in discussions. Everyone is keeping the whole situation on the hush.
