First off folks..I always say that every artist needs a hater..this ensures an artists gets feedback on that wack album the might have phoned in last go-around. (Yes men can’t provide that) As a fan of hip hop..I like a whole lot of artists..but I’m always honest about when I ain’t feeling some of their music. I used to come on the forums just to see what some of the haters would write..because a lot of these guys were hilarious. But there is a NEW BREED of hater these days..It’s a FACT ALL the artists @ the top get a whole lot of hate (Jay, Nas, Em).At the moment..THE GAME is the reigning hated champ. But if you notice..the same hate threads..are used time and time again. And yup..It can get redundant. But don’t HATE the players..HATE the HATE GAME. Here are 5 of the top ways you too can become this ‘NEW BREED’ of hater and in time you will be loved and co-signed by every other hater of this artist who feels just like you....
1. PLEDGE TO HATE ALL THAT IS AFFILIATED WITH THIS ARTIST
This right here is crucial..if an artist signs to this label..you hate them. If a DJ shows this artist love..then that DJ is the worst DJ on the planet. If a radio station plays this artist..Then start a thread on how radio sucks..but insert this artist when you do. IF a magazine gives this artist a cover..rant and rave about that magazine bias..until they never do it again. Remember YOUR opinion is NOT an opinion it is fact.
2. SALES..THE KEY TO HATING ALL ARTISTS (THESE TECHNIQUES MUST BE MASTERED)...
A.-RACE/AGE…If said artist is extremely successful sales wise..throw out the race card or age card ..ie..‘They only sold because (**insert race**) or ( **insert age**..but make it as young as possible) bought that record.’
B. If they have a BIG first week..You MUST take the ‘SALES DON’T MATTER’ stance…throw in a great veteran rapper that never sold and then ALWAYS compare them to ‘Hammer’ or ‘Vanilla Ice’
C. If they have a LOUSY first week..THIS IS THE TIME TO STRIKE..Use a bunch of those rolling smiley faces..hit up EVERY hip forum you can find..pull out the cigar..because now you can enter soundscan threads EVERY week and clown said artist to death..milk it even long after they left the charts. And when your favorite artist flops next month? Don’t log on for awhile or use your alias..because Karma is a b-tch!
3.YOU MUST HATE THIS ARTISTS MUSIC AT ALL TIMES..and it is your job to convince the world that THEY hate this artist’s music. Be the first to download ANY track, mixtape, snippet, breathing..of this artist..then commence to RIPPING it apart. The better it is..the more you rip it apart. If it’s a platinum thread..then you must rip it apart all day and night..then move on to the next forum..and do the same thing.
4. YOU MUST CONVINCE THE WORLD THAT NO ONE LISTENS TO THIS ARTIST AT ALL[/B] This can be very tricky..especially for the higher selling artists. You mave to do this over the span of some time..so I recommend thiese for the advanced hater or street team
A. THIS ARTIST HAS NO BUZZ…This must be used at 3 specific times for this to work..1. OVER 3 MONTHS BEFORE A RELEASE..who cares if the artist even has a release date? 2. Immediately AFTER A MIXTAPE OR SINGLE DROPS..who cares if you even heard the record 3.THE DAY BEFORE THE ALBUM..this is a no-brainer for any true hater
B‘THIS ARTIST GETS NO VIDEO OR RADIO AIRPLAY’ [/b]..Who cares if they don’t play hip hop in Middletown, Idaho and you never watch 106 and park, Rap City, or MTV JAMS…it doesn’t matter say it anyway
C. ‘NO ONE IS EVEN CHECKING OR TALKING ABOUT SAID ARTIST ANYMORE’..Who cares if you only have three friends (Two on My Space and your dog) it’s still a true statement
D. THIS ARTIST FELL OFF OR WILL FLOP..Who cares if you never bought one album..was never a fan..pretend you know what the hell you are talking about..say this every time you get the chance..5-10 times a year is the average you will see this thread..so don’t be shy
5. GET PERSONAL WITH ANYONE WHO DISAGREES..No one has E-beef anymore right? Nah…but if you ain’t up on your E-BEEF language.a newbie hater will get ate up..so here are some easy ways out..
a. Even though you fit the profile to the ‘T’..by your hating obsession…everyone and their momma is a STAN…but remember ..never admit to being a hater
b. Hit em with tried and true oldies like U MAD..U LOST..EMOTIONAL..those still work every now and then
