WATERBURY -- The lawyer for a court security officer said Thursday his client never met the boy he is accused of sexually assaulting.
Judicial Marshal Donald Beaulieu, 40, of Watertown, was suspended from his job with pay pending an internal investigation by the Judicial Branch.
Beaulieu is charged with meeting a 15-year-old boy at Hamilton Park and having sex with him twice.
He was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into sexual abuse against the boy that has already ensnared five men, including a Waterbury police lieutenant and a prominent businessman. Lt. Robert Kennedy is also accused of having sex with the boy after meeting him at Hamilton Park.
Police arrested a sixth man on Thursday [May 24th] they say also had sex with the same boy. Eddy Ruano, 27, of 120 Hillside Ave., was charged with second-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Ruano was being held on $250,000 bond and was due in Waterbury Superior Court today. No other details were available.
Court documents revealed on Wednesday that the boy told police that Beaulieu, who wore his uniform during the encounters, knew he was 15.

Beaulieu appeared Thursday morning [May 24th] in Waterbury Superior Court and was released after posting a $250,000 bond. Judge Joan Alexander lowered his bond from $500,000, but ordered Beaulieu be kept on house arrest.
Two other men arraigned -- 25-year-old Michael Juliano and 20-year-old Bayron Ramos, both of Waterbury -- had not posted their $250,000 bonds by Thursday afternoon.
Police said the two men met the boy through 63-year-old Carl Gemino, who co-owns Gem Manufacturing in Waterbury. Gemino was arrested earlier this week.
