I read in this site that this film comes out in sept. on DVD/VHS and is told by snoop, dre, nate and pac etc.
I'm thinkin dis shit's gonna make alotta noise. ::)

Dr isn't producing it. It's an outside journalist that's getting testimony from former inmates.

Deathrow is making very little money off this program... in fact Snoop, Dre, and the rest are making a lot more. The only reason Row gets money is because they use their name throughout the film, but this is a story Dre and Snoop want to share... it should be tight.

I saw a documentary once, it was bout a yr ago, it was basically about Death Row as a record label. There were interviews wit Tha Dogg Poung, Nate, Dre, Snoop, Rage blah blah, tha only one that wasn't able 2 b interviewed was Pac (4 obvious reasons). It went on 4 the duration of about 1hr 30mins. Anywayz it basically jus' sounds exactly tha same as that shit, but I'll still peep it so it's all good.
Now i'd like 2 c a fully fledged Pac movie. Dat shit would b dope, although i've seen many documentaries/biographys bout his time.

i didn't mean it like that, i meant the only reason why Dre and Snoop are releasing it is to make money off of shit we already know...and it surprises me that they are willing to live off of the past which most people bitch in here about death row...i think they should stay focussed on the present, or better yet, the future...fuck the past, that shit is over with, peace.

Sounds like you guys are talking about the film being done by Michael Harris and his wife.
Michael Harris claims to have initially helped DR get started by giving them (Suge and Attorney David Kenner) 1.5 million dollars. To which he never saw a dime and he felt he was ripped off. Whether this is true or not, has not yet been proven. But, because of this, the film is anti-deathrow. Suge isnt happy bout its release, but oh well.
I doubt DR is getting any money from it, nor is snoop or dre. Dre and Snoop have nothing to do with it. Michael Harris and mainly his wife is getting the money, since Michael is in prison.
It should be interesting tho.. I hope this is the film you are speaking about. =]

The documentary is an unauthorized account of the rise and fall of Death Row Records including the details of the allegations that the label was launched on drug money, the death of Tupac Shakur and the aggressive and violent business practices.
Director Leigh Salvidge says, "Telling the story of the rise and fall of Death Row Records presented many unique challenges for anyone with the temerity to try. The people close to this story generally fall into one of two categories: those that made out like bandits, aren't talking and want the story to simply fade away; and those who were misused, threatened and are simply relieved to have survived the experience."
The film features interviews with Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg and extensive footage of Tupac, Suge Knight with clips of Death Row lawyer David Kenner P-Diddy, Biggie Smalls, Jewel, and political figures C. Delores Tucker and Senator Bob Dole.

well obviously its betta den deathrow uncut because uncut was released by deathrow and they only showed their part of da story and wanted da fans to believe dat they are da good side not snoop and dre. and da otha thing dat i hated about uncut was dat they cutted almost all dasongs especially newyork and ruined how do u want it by adding some concert bits in it

They had tha cheapest fuckin tapes 4 deathrow uncut, On mine it stops and starts like every 10 seconds at tha first 30 mins of tha film, an my cousin's tape got ripped when he waz rewindin it one time. How sad.
