Title: Presidential Elections 2008 - the ToT Edition
Post by: 7even on January 10, 2008, 04:02:15 PM
Let's not bitch about some people not being an option in the poll, we don't need 5 people voting for Kucinich when it's obvious that he "won't win a fucking thing"

Is the purpose of this to see who TOT would elect, or is the purpose to predict the winner?

Who you guys would like to see win, but being a little realistic about it. It doesn't make sense to vote for somebody who already dropped out of the race because he saw no chance of making a further impact. If it was just about predicting the winner I would have left out at least 3 of those guys.

wheres the coup de tate option?

Are you willing to say coup d'état? Won't happen. Bush got re-elected and it didn't happen, so how would it happen now. Let's stay serious.

Is anyone else tired of the media coverage of these primaries and caucuses? After Obama pulled off the win in Iowa and Hilary got scared and really tried to bash him, we have had a bunch of bullshit coverage about them saying things, having things taken out of context, and all that annoying stuff that comes with these competitions. And then, even though she had been the favorite this whole time, they started casting her as an underdog just because she didn't win the first one in Iowa. The last couple have been, "Hilary pulls off a comeback", or "Hilary wins state primary in an upset".

Why do people vote for Ron Paul? He has 0 chance of winning, he said so himself. Vote for someone who might win their parties nomination.

It's like those morons who vote for Edwards or Huckabee. Their both morons, so why would you vote for them?

So people should vote for the guy with the prettiest face?  That's fucking stupid right there.  We live in a god damn democracy.  If enough people feel that there needs to be a change, then so be it.  Of course Ron Paul has no chance of winning, but the point of his fucking election is to get more people to listen to his message.  Is it that hard to fucking understand?  For a long shot, Ron Paul has accumulated plenty of supporters.  So many supporters that it's enough to actually make some change at the local level.  It's a slow process, you gotta start from somewhere.  If you live in the U.S., and you can't appreciate what Ron Paul is doing then something is seriously wrong with you.  "Oh God forbid someone that has a mind of his own run for President!"  Aren't we free?  Why the fuck do we have to decrease are options on who to vote for President?

ron Paul is a hypocrite.  I've said it before, I'll say it again.  The facts are, he asks and promotes bills in congress that give his constitency earmarks and appropriations, then votes against the very bill that HE came up with the idea for, so he can tell all you mindless clowns "I've never voted for an earmark!" when in reality he introduces tons of them every year, and then brings home millions and millions of dollars to his own pet projects.  How you can stand to vote for someone who is so clearly a fucking liar just blows my mind.
