How do ya'll feel on rappers that ain't from Amerika. For e.g say somebody from the Scotland, UK was rapping some ill shit would you ignore him/her or buy his/her shit or if a rapper was from Canada etc. Holla back at me. I want some first hand info from Amerikan people or people from anywhere else. Like I only buy Amerikan rapper's CD's but that is cause I really only here of them but if I knew some ill rapper from elsewhere that had CD's on the go I would buy their shit. Do you only buy what other people think is good or do you buy what you think is ill? Anyway holla back for me.

dissing stuff that isn't american (or even from a particular region) is just being plain ignorant - it makes you a hater.

I buy what i think is tight... and there is tons of slept on rappers outside of america... im from Toronto and we got lots of tight cats that are just finally hitting the american market after like 5 years... people like Kardinal Offishall, Choclair, Saukrates... there all on the come up

True it shouldn't matter where you come from it's just I hear a lot of people from different boards that people from Canada and Germany have tight shit but are getting slept on. It's cause I was finking about giving the rap game a shot and I just wanted to know how ya'll felt about rappers outside Amerika cause ya'know over in the UK it only ever seem rappers from Amerika are getting promoted and that's how we Brits are into Amerika's rappers where as in the UK u neva here of peep talking about some ill UK rapper or some Ill Canadian rapper. But gimme me some more feedback peep.

Thats cause they are the minority in Rap. When you see a black guy rappin you might say to yourself "Hey thats natural" but if you see a guy from another race you are more likely to go "Look at this fool". Oh Well, thats American society for ya.
I checked out Saukrates and The Rascals and I like them both. I never even knew much about Canadian rappers until I heard Kardi.

N-Imy: if youre really serious about rapping and you're coming out of scotland then be sure to come with some original shit. dont even think about attempting G-Rap or imitating Americans cuz nobody is going to want to hear that.

Yeah there are a lot of hot Canadian rappers. Saukrates, Choclair and Kardi(along with lesser known ppl like the Figure-4 Crew and Thrust to name a couple) have been doin' shit for a while now and are just getting recognition outside Canada. There are some good underground artists too like Silent Assassin and Mind Drillah(duo known as Cold Blooded Delinkwents, and oh yeah, they're white) they come out of Kitchener. I live in Oshawa and I just moved here from Belleville(Smooth you'll find it boring there)so I could get myself ready for college in the fall at Durham, so I haven't really had time to check out if anyone locally is tight yet and I know I'll be in Toronto to check out some new shit soon. I don't think anyone should be held back because where they're from or even their race, I mean honestly talent is talent no matter who you are.

To the peeps who said to come with summin original that pep will like. I can't come straight up with G-Rap cause shit ain't the same in Scotland as it is in Amerika. If I came out with a album, it would have to have great beats and be about maybe me grwoing up or world issues i.e racism and shit and maybe a few songs about fucking bitches (Hell who don't do it these days). Cause like if I rap about shit that different from otha people then maybe it easier to be heard. Of course I wouldn't turn down a chance to rap with Em or peep along the same level as him. Although I h8 Dre I would rap with him cause he would be bound to make me a few bucks here and there and maybe even let one of the best producers hit up a few beats for tracks. Shit as I get it, it either you from some bad hood where it tuff growing up to be real these days or if you do come from there and talk about it i.e gangster rap them you are but other than that you ain't. Like no rapper from outside UK will ever be real cause nobody got as bad places as Amerika or so they say.
