All his records are personal classics to me. But I want to know your opinion...
''Rhythm-Al-Ism'' gets my vote. For me that's the best album ever made by any artist in any genre.
Musically, lyrical, features... man I love this record!
-
Rhythm-al-ism for me too. My favorite album of all time.
-
rhythmalism > safe + sound > trauma > the rest
I feel Quik still hasn't made his greatest album, though. Hopefully he hooks back up with El Debarge and drops another classic.
-
Shit Lu thats a tough one. It's between Safe & Sound and Rhythmnalism. Both are masterpieces. I'm gonna go with Rhythmnalism because that shit was the more musical to me, but it's a tough call no doubt.
-
Tough one, Gotta go w/ "Safe & Sound"(lots of memories with this album). 2nd would be "Rhythmalism". Can't go wrong w/ any Quik album, though.
-
thanks for voting

first i have to say i love Rhythmalism and Safe and Sound... but ill pick Quik is the Name.. so many memories growing up with that cd.. The first time playing that cd and Sweet Black Pussy comes on with the sick guitar, i was a Quik fan for life!.... songs like Tonite, Loc'd Out Hood, SBP, 8Ball, Born and Raised in COmpton... Got that Feeling..Deep.. Tear it off.. lol i guess i like all the songs.. but to me this album is still as timeless as Rhythmalism and Safe & Sound.. with that being siad...i could pick up any of his albums and not be disapointed with what im listening to

rhythmalism is the shit for me. I remeber gettin a bootleg of that album about a month before it dropped. I had that on HEAVY rotation for a while. I can still put that album in and not skip a track!
-
safe and sound for me...It had the perfect blend of gangsta and style...quik was so on point on this album...the mixing the production you couldnt ask for a better rap record IMO...
this shit never sounds dated to me it always sounds fresh when I pop it in...I remember I bought this and k dee's ass gas or cash on the same day and those played out as my soundtrack for 95

quik best period was when suga frees - street gospel, and when all the crew were cool with eachother... on of my favorite songs is Let me Know and that period....what stuff came out around when he had his radio show ?
-
Rhythm-al-ism
every single track is dope, I always end up listening all the way through, a masterpiece
then #2 is Balance & Options
-
Safe + Sound = Best Gangsta Quik
Rhythm-al-ism = Best New Style Quik
-
Safe N Sound = Best Gangsta Piru Album
Rhytmalism : Best Party Album
i voted for Rhytmalism
-
Rhythm-Al-Ism of course!
-
Balance & Options. This album helped me relate through a lot of tough times. When i 1st heard this album i was about 16, it taught me about women and scandalousness in the best degree. i wouldn't have the current perspective on life that i have now if it wasn't for this album. this is how much this shit influences me!!! it's deep. and now that i'm 22, i can fully realize it.
props balance & options ;D
-
Rhythm-Al-Ism of course!
Followed by Safe + Sound
-
Rhythm-al-ism for me too. My favorite album of all time.
-
Safe + Sound followed closely followed by Rhythm-al-ism.
-
what the fuck. does no one think that balance & options was a great album besides me and julio g?!?!?!
-
RHYTHM -A-LISM = His best next to his Debut Quik is the name !!! 8) 8)
-
"Safe + Sound", that really represents the DJ Quik that I like the most, also 1995 was a great year for the whole West, and you can feel it.
But "Rhythmalism" and "Balance & Options" are classics too, almost on that level.
-
safe + sound straight classic!
-
Safe + Sound for me.
safe + sound was like a mix of the musical quik and the gangster rap quik.
-
4 me it was trauma
-
4 me it was trauma

im obsessed with this album it was the second album from him i listened to...to many memories from it. Its like rhythm-al-ism part two
quik thinks it was his worst record though
-
I can tell you dudes are some young bucc's , Everybody knows that Quik is the name is his best selling album and his 2nd best album , Safe & sound was not gangsta , he had two or three gangsta cuts then he started rapping about females and eatin pussy and makin jazz tunes , i wasnt feelin that album he had a few cool songs but thats about it nothin special about that album . 8) 8)
-
Dj Quik is easily my fav rap artist. Always has, and probably always will. My favorite album is Safe + Sound, it's just an all around classic. Every song is a banger. Definitely an album that you can play each and every summer. Not to take anything away from the rest of his catalogue, but this is his best achievement. IMO.
-
I gotta go with Rhythm-Al-Ism but Balance & Options is real close behind...thats a tuff ass decision. it would be easier to pick which nut i wanna loose in a rusty nail fight.
-
Safe + Sound followed closely followed by Rhythm-al-ism.

exactamundo!!
LMAO @ the people who voted for Trauma
-
Dj quick greatest albums have to be his first 2 albums Quik Is The Name
& Way 2 Fonky. that is best work ever & he realest . the rest of his work was made after he got money so it ain't his best because most of it ain't real as the first 2 albums at all.
-
"Safe + Sound" is a personal classic of mine but if I had to pick his best album I might have to go with "Rhythm-al-ism", Quik has an amazing catalogue of music
-
Very hard decision between Safe + Sound, Rhythm-al-Ism and Trauma.
-
what the fuck. does no one think that balance & options was a great album besides me and julio g?!?!?!
that album is amazing. just amazing. and the outro is from another planet...
one of the greatest albums ever.
-
Safe + Sound followed closely followed by Rhythm-al-ism.
exactamundo!!
LMAO @ the people who voted for Trauma
trauma is top 3
-
"Trauma" is a great album, I give it a B+
take off the track with T.I.
take Wyclef off "Ladies & Thugs"
then add "Does The Goodlife Exist" from the mixtape and it's an A+
-

Best achievement ? how is that when his first album was his biggest selling album with Rhythm- lism .
RHYTHM AL -LISM = BEST QUIK ALBUM !!!!! He will tell you that !!!!!! Safe & Sound was garbage to me , it had them disco fast beats , or either him on the talk box rappin bout bitches. nuthin too special about it !!
-
^ Shut up man, you can never go BOOM! You're just mad he killed MC Ehit on S+S.
-
an mc eith Fan cant talk about DJ QUIK music
westside159 you are a joke

disco beats?!hahaha wtf?
Safe& Sound all the way. Rhythm Al-lism a close second though.
and anutha thing....
What do you think No Doubt, I Useta Know Her, Whateva U Do, Hand in Hand were about??? Quik always talks about em. It's part of his style. Aren't those all good songs?? Yes. Same thing on Safe & Sound.
-
Hard for me to choose between Safe & Sound and Rhythmalism, but i choose Rhythmalism overall.
-
Between S+S and B+O, I'd choose S+S. If B+O featured more songs and less interludes that were pointless then it would be my favourite. But S+S comes more street than B+O, B+O is something more grown up to jam and chill to.
-
Way 2 Fonky hasnt received alotta shine but heck, that is a really good street album IMO. I think it'd be my 3rd favourite 8)
