Title: Da Game is to be told not to be sold
Post by: lee on May 10, 2001, 07:51:42 PM: I was going put this in the album review but then no one goes in there ... :)
Everyone says its really crap and everything and yes i agree ...
BUT ..
There are a few alright songs on it..
Slow Down (cause i can't take the heat) is ok, alright so its pop .. but its about the second best song on the album.
Show Me Love - is probably the best song on the album its quite nice actully
Picture this - woulda been betta without Mya X
but then one of the main faults of the whole of the Game album is that there are too many wack No Limit people on it.
Snoopworld woulda been good if it hadn't of had Master P going "Ugrrrrrrrr" all over it, That made it suck and i think i've only listened to that song about 3 times ...
In fact apart from Show me love , Slow Down and Picture This i think i've only listened to the rest of that album only once ... (yep , seriously) If fact some of the songs i barely listened to at all .. I listened to the first minute and was like aghhhhh and had to turn it off!!
Anyway what does everyone esle think Whats your favorite track off that album ?? (if u have 1 that is..) Or is there some hardcore No Limit/Snoop fans out there who think its one of the best things they ever heard?

I think he took a step back by making this album. Snoop is a superstar, he doesn't need all those artist who don't fit his style on his record. I can barely listen to it. I probably only listen to 3 or 4 tracks, if that.

I think the best songs are Woof, whatcha gon do, still a g thang, and aint nutin personal. DP Gangsta is good just cause it's NWA's gangsta gangsta with snoop and i think c-murder is ok in it too, and hoez, money and clout is one of snoops all time best songs, its not no limit style and its got soopafly and daz on the beat, it cant get much better. i think its a good cd.

Post by: Hambone (Guest) on May 10, 2001, 10:44:29 PM: snoop was out to help no limit and help himself......first time on no limit....so i aint going to fault him.....the cut that is produced by soopafly is tight also......i would give it a 6 out of a 10......he doesnt do good on those hardcore southern beats.....but hey.....we were all glad he was gettin paid...and came out with at least something!

But yeah, some of those beats were horrible and dont go with Snoops flow, we all know that...but just like on Still a G thang..he told Dre to holla at him.......for good reason......and what came next.....Still Dippin..and Buck'em....on the Topp Dogg CD.....snoop knew what he was doing....hey...if it wasnt for master P, we might not of have snoop today...or had the last meal, and there might not be a Dogghouse/Doggystyle company.......

i think we all can look past some of the songs on that CD.....he learned what needs to be done to make his flow work.....
didnt master P produce still a G thang...

Get It Up (Silkk: Made Men)
Full Fledged Pimpin (B Side Of G Thang)
It's All On A Hoe (B Side Of Woof)

he made a few more, but all these songs feature Snoop ... and what happens ... No Limit never puts them out ...

THESE ARE SOME OF THE BEST SONGS SNOOPS MADE TOO!

It's a trip though.... cuz alot of the songs you guys were naming is on this other Snoop Dogg cd i got called "Da Game Is To Be SOLD Not To Be TOLD"
I'd give THAT cd about a 4 out of 10..... it dont have too many good songs and I think it's the wackest Snoop Dogg cd's out....

I think it's a tight CD and I'm glad Snoop experimented with a different style - his career is richer for it.

Snoop World, Slow Down, Woof, Show me Love, Hustle and Ball, Don't Let Go, Tru Tank Doggs, Still a G Thang, 20 Dollars 2 my Name, DOGs Get Lonely 2, Ain't Nuthin' Personal, Game of Life, See ya When I get there and Hoes Money and Clout are all tight songs make no mistake.

C - Murder is tight as well

The fact that it took to Reply number 11 to correct the mistake made over the title shows how unfamiliar most of you are with this CD. I'm not hating on all of you but take a few listens THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH of this album CLOSELY and I think you might like this CD more.

I Think Da Game Isn't As BAd As Everybody Says, For Shizzle. It's Like No Limit Topp Dogg, And The Doggfather. They Get Tighter Each Listen. On Da Game, Remember He Recorded It In 2 Weeks, So That's Pretty Impressive.

and da game is the worst cd i own, sorry folks, i hate it. since production is my thizzle i was really disapointed with those crappy beats by the pound 'beats'. i did like Show Me Love and Hoes Money & Clout, and probably a few others, but on the whole its wack. My opinion, dont hate!
