I'm 100% Chicano.... Mexican/American.. whatever tha fuck you wanna call it..... One of them bald headed foo'z from Southern Cali!
Well I been listening to alotta Chicano Rap lately.... yeah, it's a lil different, mostly about the gang bang life but I figure they're as much WEST COAST as Snoop and Dre are..... and Being Chicano I can relate to that shit...
Alot of you probably think it's wack but atleast try n listen to some of this shit before you judge it....

Man I feel you, being a Chicano, I used to listen to Mexican rap more than basic Westcoast "black" rap back in the days. Of couse now Mexican rappers have a harder time, and you don't hear them on the air unless you can get 99.1 KGGI from Riverside. There was a time when Power 106 used to play as much Chicano rap as they did anything else. And some other Chicano rappers to listen to, Don Cisco, and a chick by JV. Also, some older artist, like Frost and a Lighter Shade Of Brown are rumored to come out with some new shit.
Check it though, Chicano rap is about to blow up, as did you know that the L.A. area has 32% hispanics and only 6% blacks now. before it was like 20% to 12%, but hispanics are greatly becoming a majority, and I think Chicano rap will soon start representing Southern Cali more. But hey, I could be wrong on that, because what sells represent.
