I send y'all guys e-mails and pm's but none of y'all didn't respond to me about this [don't know why] so I'm makin' this topic so y'all can recognize
I'm writing this because I got a question and a request to the dubcnn staff, to people like Nima, Lil' Jay, Rud and others that's run this shit right here...
The MAIN question is:
WHY DubCnn among other sites don't promote Tha Realest and his recent stuff and never get any notice about his upcoming projects, mixtapes etc?
I KNOW dude get's a lot of hate for this whole "Tupac thang" but seriously... I REALLY ENJOY THIS GUY'S MUSIC so I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THIS SHIT... I understand and respect people's point of view and I won't argue with those dudes but as far as the Dubcnn stuff go - I don't know what's your personal opinion about Tha Realest or did y'all ever met him or talk to him but I think that sites like DubCnn should reach out to him and help him get the recognition outside California, in the mainstream... I mean, dude really reppin' the West and he's doing real dope music nowadays like this MOB MUZIK album with Wack Deuce and G Mack...

I kind of wonder that too sometimes. It seems like dubcnn is so focused on promoting these no name people, that they miss out on some of the more well known people. It doesn't happen very often, and i'm sure things just go under the radar or are just honest mistakes. Seems to be mainly with Pac affiliated people, like they rarely have any new Outlawz stuff, or when a new 2pac song leaks, it's not on the main page or anything like that.
But they are pretty good with the Soopafly stuff, as i've gotton tons of unreleased Soopafly off the main page, so I still gotta give them major props for that! They know that Soopafly = hits! Rap hits and internet hits!

Well, it's the only thing I think about when I come on this site, i mean, that's why I peep the site, to check for any new Soopafly news. I don't live for the man, but I do study him so I can hope my pimp hands one day become as strong as his. When i first started listening to him, my hands were only strong enough to crush a beetle. Now that i've studied him for 15 years, my hands are strong enough to crush a dog. I want my pimp hands to be as strong a Fly's, for he can crush concrete blocks with how strong his pimp hands are.

I've just got so much more to learn....just last week, I tried to make my bitch sleep in the yard like Soopafly. Well, every few minutes, I kept looking out the window to see if she was still out there, and she was. I took a shower and everything and got ready for bed, and pretty soon, she left. She only stayed out there for about an hour. I need to study The Man so I can figure out how Fly keeps them out there all night and when he opens the door the next morning, she's got breakfast waiting for him at the doorstep.

You guys obviously haven't peeped anything he's put out in the past 3-4 years or have just written it off because of his past. Dude is making good music these days. He's a part of Mike Bibby's Team Dime Entertainment. This Mob Muzik album has some great tracks too from what I've heard. It has production from DJ QUIK on there. I don't think Quik or C-Bo or Mopreme and all those cats that really fucked with Pac would get down with Tha Realest if he was really such a big scam like people make him out to be.
As far as Dubcnn not doing a news update, it probably is just because they do news updates when artists themselves or their representatives come at them with the news/audio instead of just fans.

If you don't do this stuff, I doubt your pimp hands are as strong as mine, let alone even close to being as strong as Soopafly's. If you post a picture of your hands on here, I can at least get somewhat of an idea how strong they are, but you must follow these rules as outlined above.

The point is he has fans still and this is a rap site and you guys should promote anything west coast related if you about supporting the west coast as a whole. Man you can find that in like 100 interviews with him. it's 2008 now and we're well beyond that and so is he. He released most of his Death Row material wtih FTP already so that answers your album question. Anyways this Mob Muzik album is what's going on today, not his stay at Death Row which you really shouldn't be concerned about anymore. There is life after Death Row, you just need to find that out for yourself.

I understand your point of view about Tha Realest and his "Pac similaries" and I would say this - YES, in his Death Row Dayz he sounded a lot like Tupac so I understand that people might have turned from him for that and I don't blame y'all at all... I mean, everybody has a choice - me personally, I never onsider Tha Realest as a biter and all that, I always thought about him being deeply influenced by Tupac but that's just my opinion and I want people to respect it just like I respect their opinion...
Second of all Nima - YES, Tha Realest has fans and has people that like his music and really enjoy it but 99% of those people would rather stock on his official forum and discuss there than come to any other forum and get in a middle of an sensless argue with people that's gonna say the same exact shit over and over again... Imagine a thread about Tha Realest without a single "fuck tha fakest wannabe 'Pac bla bla bla" type of respond by someone... IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! I really don't understand those kind of dudes - you don't like Tha Realest? He had 2 interviews when he was on Death Row, 1 with worldwide westside magazine from 2003 and some other radio shows with vintage music etc but we still haven't hear from him a lot information about his Death Row Dayz so a big iterview would be very nice ;D
and about his Death Row material - he DIDN't released the most, all the songs that has been leaked for the past years aren't even 1/5 of the material he recordered at the Death Row studios and some of the songs featured on those FTP releases wasen't even recorded at Death Row... like those songs with Nutt-So and Wack Deuce... I heard from his Admin that Tha Realest recorded about 400 songs on Death Row and Suge have most of this shit as far as the masters go...

I've just got so much more to learn....just last week, I tried to make my bitch sleep in the yard like Soopafly. Well, every few minutes, I kept looking out the window to see if she was still out there, and she was. I took a shower and everything and got ready for bed, and pretty soon, she left. She only stayed out there for about an hour. I need to study The Man so I can figure out how Fly keeps them out there all night and when he opens the door the next morning, she's got breakfast waiting for him at the doorstep.

Maybe back in 08-09. Dubcnn has fallen off when it comes being what it once was. I usually only needed to visit dub to get my information (this included the forum) but the euros got some many threads with 90s crap even this forum has become dead weight. Maybe they should split the west coast section into a old (80s, 90s, 2000s) and 2010s-present section. I mean it would at the very it would filter out the threads reasking the same questions. Maybe add a new admin to redirect people to the original threads with answers.
They should also rethink about reskinning this shit. giving it a sleaker look. this shit looks old as fuck.

Good but WHY not mention when he releases new videos? Why not mention he has a brand new mixtape out? Is he the only Hoo-Bangin artist not good enough to make the main page? Because I clearley remember sending one if not two different members of the staff with ALL the needed info about a year ago when YG gave me the world premiere of his last video, I also advised him, personally, to give you (meaning dubcnn as a whole) the link as I figured it was better that the artists direct contracted you but to this day, it was never promoted except from the thread I made in the forum. I DO hope the reason AIN'T because of me? Because the very reason I post here is BECAUSE I like it & give the site it's props.

i like the color scheme/features on this forum compared to most others....i dont think we need to upgrade to something TOO fancy. the simplicity works well. would be nice if we could keep it original with the same basic skin. easy on the eyes and it's not too much, like a lot of other message boards. the idea for old school and new school forums is nice, though. thats been talked about for the past couple years, but when we get that done, i see the forum activity levels boosting. as far as coverage, i'm still tryna get my klientel spot up on the main site. i approached the dubcnn staff with the idea back in october and was told we could get somethin done...i promised my peeps a promo spot and they been askin me about it ever since. i provided the bio/music/pics etc. cant be too hard to post it up on the site, can it? not THIS hard, at least LOL....klientel been lookin at me like i lied to him or somethin. hook it up, seer 8) im releasin my x-raided track this week and i really wanted to see the dubcnn spot up before we dropped it. lookin more and more like it wont go down that way. it is what it is, though. glad ya'll are workin towards makin moves.

Isn't the whole point of running a west-coast hip-hop related site is that you're finding it yourself. I'm sorry but that just makes dubcnn appear half-ass if your own staff isn't finding out the information. I think most of the people who contributed to the site left when the forum fell apart. The site around 2008 was always buzzing, always had new stories up, new Audio, New mixtape, I never need to visit any other site. Now you're promoting artist from fucking the fucking UK (very west). You got parts on the site that says NEw Audio (2006-2008), that's bad. If you're making a new site, how about including a link to dubcnn TV.
As for the forum, I think you need to find better mods. so I Nominate my self. 8)

I Don't think they will feature you, given your past forum history. Any type of exposure gets effectively blown up worse then when vanilla ice was trying to be hardcore.

I never said that EVERYONE has to come.. but as it stands certain members of staff have certain connections and relationships they've built.. if stuff is outside the channels they've built then they can't reach it, and if they arent particularly interested in it, then of course they aren't chasing it. they chase what they like.
this is why every site has its own slant on things.. some sites only chase certain artists and crews because they've made that one hookup.

Yeah but it just looks silly when west coast artists are getting major attention everywhere else but being ignored at dubcnn, the home of west coast hip hop. You don't have to have a relationship with an artist to write about them and give us info on their career.

X-Raided, a norcal legend, is comin out with his major label debut in about a week and it hasn't even been covered yet. instead, we get coverage of Nima's favorite unknown Persian rappers. there are legit cats from the west hollerin at dubcnn for promo who are not even getting responses. tons of west coast rappers with legit buzz that aint gettin covered.

ur talkin about the outro, right?...that's live instrumentation done by the homie evaneezy. he plays the clarinet. dude came through and improvised over the beat to end the track on the spot. he played it live right over the beat and thats how we kept it, old school jazz style. anyways, good looks on checkin. thats one of our older tracks. we've progressed with our equipment/mixing since then...gunna post up some new stuff real soon.
