Let's talk about Erotic D anyhow. If anyone is wondering, he produced all of the album by D.O.C. called Helter Skelter. He used to work for Death Row Records and is now working on Detox. He has produced for MC Breed, Six-Two, The D.O.C., and others.

Ask him about DOC's Helter Skelter album.  DOC claims that album was Dre's and he stole it and took it to his label and released it.  How true is that story?  How many of the beats were already finished and how many did you have to produce from scratch?

On the song "New Formula" from Helter Skelter, there are a lot of samples from the original Formula, which i'm assuming Ruthless Records owns the rights to.  How were you able to secure these samples to use on DOC's new album?  Is he cool with Ruthless Records now?

What was it like working with DOC in the studio with his raspy voice?  I had heard in the past that he could only rap for so long before his voice began to weaken and hurt.  Did you guys have to have many short recording sessions to complete the album?  Did it take several days for DOC to actually lay down the vocals to a single track?

You said Erotic D used to work for Death Row Records.  I have every Death Row Records album released, and I don't recall seeing Erotic D's name as a producer on any song.  What exactly did he do over at Death Row and who did he produce for?

Is he involved in DOC's new album "Voice Through Hot Vessels"?

And also, if he sees DOC, tell him his true fans want him to keep rapping, we like the raspy voice. I'd rather hear DOC rap his rhymes himself than have other people do it for him.

-you was around Death Row around the time Dre was thinking about doing the Helter Skelter record with Cube.
Was you supposed to work on that project as a co-producer with Dre?
-where can we purchase or download your "game over" mix-tape?

-on your myspace (thatīs closed),it previously said that you was working with Dre on Detox.
Is this true? and are you still in the loop?
-whatīs up with the "The Black Bruce Willis?" album, whoīs on it?
-whatīs 6-2 up to?
-have you done any work for the Southern Hydro (6-2 and Big Mike) album?
-will it ever get released?

^^^^^ just some quick obvious ones ^^^^  :P ;) ;) ;)

thx 4 erotic d interview.

Ask him about DOC's Helter Skelter album.
DOC claims that album was Dre's and he stole it and took it to his label and released it.
How true is that story?
How many of the beats were already finished and how many did you have to produce from scratch?

^^^^ yes,I like to hear his side of the story too  ;) ^^^

What was it like working with DOC in the studio with his raspy voice?
I had heard in the past that he could only rap for so long before his voice began to weaken and hurt.
Did you guys have to have many short recording sessions to complete the album?
Did it take several days for DOC to actually lay down the vocals to a single track?

^^^^ yes,and are you pleased with the result? ^^^

You said Erotic D used to work for Death Row Records.
I have every Death Row Records album released, and I don't recall seeing Erotic D's name as a producer on any song.
What exactly did he do over at Death Row and who did he produce for?

^^^^ I might be wrong, but from what I can gather from the many D.O.C interviews
Iīve posted is that he was supposed to work with Dre on Helter Skelter and other things.
But thatīs D.O.Cīs boy from DFW,TX,so he probably went where D.O.C went  ;).
Iīm just speculating  ;) ;) ;) ;) :P ;)
But it would be interesting to hear the real deal about this.

Is he involved in DOC's new album "Voice Through Hot Vessels"?

And also, if he sees DOC, tell him his true fans want him to keep rapping, we like the raspy voice.
I'd rather hear DOC rap his rhymes himself than have other people do it for him.

^^^ yep,yep ^^^

Props on the thread and the interview homie. There are alot of interesting questions peops have suggested.

One thing which might be a bit too specific to ask is about the track Ghetto Blues that Erotic D produced off of the Deuce album. It's one of my favourite songs of recent years. Could you ask how the idea came about to mould the acoustic "Soliloquy" track DOC raps on and mould it into the Ghetto Blues track Six 2 raps with the same melody but with the electric guitar and the beat. I thought the transition between the two tracks is dope as f*ck and I wish more rap music tried clever musical sh*t like that.

Might be a bit too specific so no worries if it don't get asked.

Looking forward to the interview homie and info on Erotic D's new work, historical collabs with DOC and all that good good sh*t!!   8)

I see, so you yourself actually doesn't have any rare Death Row stuff, you just know where to get it as long as Scott cooperates?  You don't even have one or two rare Soopafly tracks yourself?  Come on, you gotta have something!  You got the Inside Out Compilation?  There are some Fly tracks on there.  Keep trying man, let's make this happen.  On the video you showed us all showing all the rare stuff you had, there was a CD on the desk that clearly said "unreleased Soopafly album".....so is that in your posession or not?

I don't got like Soopafly shit. The videos were Scott's. I am more like Scott's/Nino's hypeman. I have rare shit, but it's more along the tip of information and 1st generation material. Which tracks you need off Inside Out? I will up those for free. I think they all leaked AGES ago. I don't even want to sell the shit I got, I just want to help Scott sell his shit so he can be done with it.

That's cool, I'm not sure what the final tracklist ended up being, as it changed numerous times, but the song "50 Sac" by Soopafly was on it.  Could you at least upload that track?  Thanks!

uch has been made about recording-industry chaos and retail peril. New models are springing up as the indie tries to not get lost in the sauce. How'd you like to call up your favorite artist and have them deliver the joint directly to you?

That's one of the possible options if you want to get your hands on Erotic's (below) new release, The Black Bruce Willis.
If you call 817-750-1717 and set up a delivery, it may be brought to you by the man
who's worked with folks like Dr. Dre, D.O.C. and George Clinton.

As for the record, it's exactly what fans of Erotic's work have come to expect: sonically airtight gangster masterpieces.
Weight is getting moved, shots are ringing out and sex is gettin' sold over Chronic-era bangers.

Traditional distribution channels are on tap as well, with Amazon and iTunes right around the corner.
But consider this delivery method another facet of the hustle that don't quit, from a top-shelf hustler still cranking out classics.

What upcoming artists from DFW should we be checking for in the near future?

How do you feel about the current state of the south and the hiphop in general?

What artist would you wanna do a collabo album with and why?
