Clipse aint nuthin special, even if they got dope beats thanks to The Neptunes.
Clipse's lacking skills is clearly shown off when Jadakiss & Styles outshines them on "I'm not you".
They're still better than Fabolous though, even if that's not much to brag about.

Well, I'm certainly not a "hater," but I definitely don't like Fabolous (mainly because of the fact that he sucks at rapping, lol). ;D

yea w0rd

I aint no hater neither, and I remember that I actually looked forward to hearing Fabolous some years ago, because of all the buzz around him.
And then when I heard him, it was the biggest disappointment since "Da Game is to be sold"

I would say they on some gangsta shit, talking about street-life for the most.
They mostly talking about gangsta-shit, throwing in some funny lines at times, some metaphors, quiet some bragging, and a little life-story up in the mix.
Nuthin new lyric-wise, but the beats makes it sound dope on many of the tracks.

"Cot damn" is simply amazing.
Sick beat, and Pharells hook is off the hook, literally.

I'm not feeling Cot Damn. The beat is too plain to be anything special.

For some reason I just expected another "Philly's most wanted" and skipped this one.  :P

Too much neptunes = repetitive motion......IE: Nore's new shit.

ImO

I like the Neptunes.....but not 80% of an lp.
1 or 2 track is coo....anything more is Whoa!!!! 4 much.

I recommend steering clear of The Clipse.

I can't believe anyone would actually likes they're bullshit.

I just saw this video on MTV the other day; Justin Timberlake is a little pussy rich boy, and his voice is annoying as hell, but the Neptunes beat is dope.

I want to get ahold of the instrumental version of "Like I Love You"!

Well to be honest The Clipse aren't really anything special. They are average rappers who do come off like a bad imitation of the LOX, and without beats backing from the Neptunes they wouldn't have ever gained any real success. I do like the Neptunes production a lot, but as someone else said, too much of them becomes boring because other than a few exceptions (Pass The Courvosier Part 2) most of their beats are very similar, and The Clipse would have benefited from a few other producers getting it on the act.

The whole Justin Timberlake thing is a little strange, however u can see how it happened. Justin Timberlake wants Neptunes production on his album so the Neptunes agree on the basis that they get to put some of their artists on the tracks as well as receiving money for their joints. In the past it has normally been Kelis who has featured on such joints but now they are trying to push the Clipse and to get them well known they have to feature on established artist's albums. However this is still a bit of a sellout move from them so I'm not going to try and defend them against that.

What's with Justin Timberlake and this whole trying to be the next Michael Jackson anyway?

LOL, that's exactly what I was wondering! It's like he wants to be the white version of Usher/Michael Jackson, lol.
