It's official. Once again, Eminem has dropped an album and met expectations musically and on the charts. Congrats to him. He's really just a regular, 5'9" white dude, who enjoyed hip-hop and emersed himself in it. It's amazing what people can accomplish, and he wasn't even really given much of an oppurtunity. Just one regular resteraunt dishwasher has caused all this ruckus and controversy. It was all for lyrics, in the love and name of hip-hop, what a story.
I've watched his carear unfold like clockwork, ever since I first heard about him in an About To Blow section of rap pages in 98. All I needed to here was he was a white boy down with Dre and I was instantly hooked right in, and I connected with it to because he looked like me. (white)
Dre said in the Rolling Stone cover article about Em, "If he stays hungry, he will be bigger then Micheal Jackson." Dre saw it from the beggining.

all i gotta say is ive been a fan since day one, back when i was in 7th grade. i hate how some people hated him and now love him and then another sec hate him...
i remember when i first saw his video, i was at a friends house that i hate now, lol, i was chillin there and hes like hey yo, you seen this new rapper? he was all laughin at him? im like damn, eminem? lol, ok whatever , a sec later i was singin the song

Word. I remember people tried to say he wasn't really hip-hop back in the day. Like, alternative, non-hip-hop people trying to say Em wasn't really hip-hop. Or the ignorant KC rap fans saying that he was alternative music, just cause he was white or something. And now they all listen to his shit and they act like they were never that stupid.

i know i'm gonna get hated on but i seriously think em SUCKS and this will be the last album that sells if he dont' change up his style because i know a lot of people who have like him but are now saying hes way to repetive and gets boring quick now and dont' like him nemore.

U know what I hate tha most? White boyz that hate on him....Cuz they're tha stoopidest Unreal muthafuccaz ever, How U gonna hate on someone makin it this big from yur own race? And theres alot of em too....Tryin 2 act like they hard and dun like Eminem but LUV strate bay gangsta shit cuz they think they're keepin it real altho they like Eminem alo....Damm, I hate those kinda people....

tha best is when eazy-e fans say his voice is annoying. if he was black he would get a lot more love from hip hop heads. but he's white an sellin so they gotta hate. I admit I used to think Eminem was wack cause of his first song and I didn't wanna give him a chance.
The day I bought SSLP I have been giving him props. I think people give him too much credit though.

Em keeps growing on me, I never hated him or nothing but I wasn't a huge fan from the start, I bought the SSLP & my cousin gave me a copy of "Infinite". I LOVED "Infinite" but it took a few GOOD listens for the SSLP to grow on me, but when it did grow on me I knew more good things were to come. The only thing I find personally is that when I buy his records I play them straight for about a month then they fizzle out. But the best thing with Em is that he is consistent and you know your always gonna get quality music and rhymes no matter what.

i think Eminem is pretty booring... and its not like i wanna be a hater, its just that he cant "fool" me ya know... his "extreme lyrics" about women and crime etc aint impressin on me. all his lyrics is made up for a younger and commercial ppl.... i have to admit i aslo thought it was funny from the begining, but i dont really like when he is rappin abvout "elvis" and "britney" anymore....
but ppl like Infinite etc proberly like his skillz as an mc and his serious songs.... but... eminem isnt on my list of my favorite rappers... :-/
