The following news has not been confirmed by official sources, but it is what dubcnn is hearing right now... Word is that after the release of Ice Cube's new album "Raw Footage", he will probably be hitting the studio to work on a new Westside Connection album.
Now for those thinking that Mack 10 has reunited with Ice Cube and WC, we have to dissapoint you. From what we're hearing, it is likely that The Game will be replacing Mack 10 as the third member of WSC. You can get a first taste of the trio on "Raw Footage" on a track, ironically titled "Get Use To It".
The Game also made an appearance on WC's last album "Guilty By Affiliation" on the track "West Coast Voodoo", and Ice Cube made an appearance in The Game's current hit single "Game's Pain", where Game calls Cube his favorite rapper.
We are still waiting on a confirmation from the artists, but dubcnn will be keeping you updated as always!

Some more unity from real westcoast artist (not Spider Loc and them wack ass niggas)
So if this actually happens then damn that shit is great.
If not then its a shame but i'll still check for Westside Connection if they come out with another album, with or without Mack 10 or Game.
And i'll still check for each artists individual projects (LAX, Raw Footage & a new WC album).
HOPEFULLY, they can push this true and make it happen so it wont be like how when Snoop was added to the NWA reunion and the shit didn't work out (even tho classic music came through)

I think this is a great idea. They should definitely keep the name Westside Connection. IMO, Mack 10 was the worst part of the previous albums. I always found myself either waiting to hear Cube and WC verses or if the Mack 10 verse was last, just skip to the next song. The Game is 100% better.

it's good news because it instantly adds another big name to the list of west coast artists who succeed in the mainstream
any west coast album that gets itself a gold or platinum plaque is a success for the coast

Well the story supposedly goes that Jinx gave the beat to Spider, who originally did the track. Jinx went behind his back and sold the beat to Westside Connection, who made their version on the 2nd album. They had no idea but liked the chorus and the one on WSC 2nd album Bangin At The Party is the track, you can still hear Spider on the chorus. Oh and supposedly Spider beat Sir Jinx's ass for that.

yeah, all the promises >:( MC Ren would fit better than game, but Game guarantees that there will be atleast some mainstream attention. And I think they don't choose Ren because then there would be two Rappers with Crip affiliation and with Game there is 1 Blood and 1 Crip again (bs :-X)

It's a good news, but I prefer that MACK 10 returns with CUBE & WC than THE GAME comes for the first time. MACK 10 had a better voice wich was well with voices of CUBE & WC. And THE GAME can't do that with his voice. But it could be a great album.

nah....actually to me t.i. wouldn't fit on a westside connection cd in my opinon i would hope they'd keep it a little westcoast:drop the game idea and go scoop kam up and get some battlecat,mel man,hi tek,crazy toones,possibly dr. dre, and sir jinx for some heat......to me that would be a classic westside conection album!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have mixed feelings about this one. With Cube dropping a CD based on "brain food" next month I'd hate to see him return to subjects where there is little substance. However, if they decide to do this and they can come up with some type of concept album as opposed to 12 tracks randomly thrown together, then I'm with that.

Absolutely, it's a BIG if, if they can make another "Bow Dow". Heck, The original WSC can't do it. I was actually really disappointed with "Terrorists Threats". I was thinking about this last night. At the very least, Cube has got people interested and may gain some new fans/sales of his new album. Raw Footage will give a "preview" of the new group on the song with the 3 of them. So inbetween now and August when it drops, I am sure Cube and them are seeing how much hype this is generating.
If it is big enough, all systems go for a WSC album after Raw Footage. If not, they can just say well it was only for 1 track. Either way, Cube is building interest in his project and a possible WSC album at the same time.

Early this afternoon, anonymous sources close to the Westside Connection camp revealed that Ice Cube [click to read] has revealed to his inner-circle that famed trio Westside Connection will return after several years of hiatus.
Although not confirmed by either party, further details said that estranged member Mack 10 [click to read] would be replaced by none other than Compton rapper The Game [click to read]. Both are Blood affiliates in the group, formed in 1995 that featured Crip and Blood members.
