Well, it seems you're talking about a narrowed sense of conflict here, focusing merely on social conflicts. Hypothetically speaking, social conflicts can always be avoided, but it will be at the cost of the psychological well-being of those who have to give in in order to avoid conflicts.

Example: Someone named Buck likes to fuck (Kill Bill, anyone?). Buck basically wants to fuck anyone. But not everyone wants to fuck Buck. That's a serious conflict already.
Can this be avoided? Yes, Buck can be taught to repress his sexual feelings. That would not be the best option for his psychological well-being though.
Another way to avoid the conflict: his targets give in to Buck's intentions. Yet seeing as they don't actually want to fuck him, such a stance would not be good for their psychological well-being.

So, to answer the question about whether or not social conflicts are avoidable: yes, they are avoidable, but always at the cost of something else. And that might just cause a conflict which is way worse than the social conflict. What's worse; a girl losing her integrity at the hands of Buck, or the girl telling Buck not to bother her?

As for conflicts on a larger scale... The whole idea of wanting to avoid conflicts, in order not to be bothered by "stress and bullshit," strongly reminds me of the humanist approach towards human relations. Just because you refuse to identify something as a conflict, doesn't mean the conflict itself isn't there. A bit of unearned love won't turn a crook into a lovable person.
Conflicts are everywhere, and for a good reason. Conflict is at the very base of the existence of life, but that's merely a philosophical matter. Thing is, you shouldn't even want to prevent them, unless you're going to tackle them at their spring.
