Ice Cube – The Essentials will be released on September 16 by Priority Records. This collection overlaps 2001’s Greatest Hits with only three songs, making the set worthy of pickup. This set spans 28 years and is a complementary addition for Ice Cube fans.

Priority still bitter about Cube taking the indie root....its embarrasing!
-
A lot of those songs weren't on the other Greatest Hits album.
-
how can they put a new song (Cold Places) on there? Doesn't Cube own his Lench Mob masters?

Yup - hence the tagline
"This collection overlaps 2001’s Greatest Hits with only three songs, making the set worthy of pickup"
-
I think I'm going to spend my money on this, instead of Raw Footage.

yeah, and there's also a track from LNCL on there :-\
-
Most of those songs are the independent ice cube songs how does priorety have right to the newer songs
-
I thought priority was done eating off of Cube with the last greatest hits LP. ::)
-
Gotta have "wicked" on it to be essential cube
-
This is a Capitol/EMI album I believe. Priority folded under the Capitol umbrella.
EMI is behind Raw Footage so Cold Places and the Why We Thugs placement seem right.

Go To Church (featuring Snoop Dogg & Lil' Jon) & Spittin' Pollaseeds (featuring WC & Kokane) both on lncl

Raw Footage is what I call a bullshit project. The Essentials at least has great music on it ;)
