Title: L.A.X Was a disapointment ,It Really was like a mixtape
Post by: Cube_ on September 01, 2008, 05:00:51 AM
To many Guests on the album spoiled it,By far the weakest game album to date ,And thats the reason game is flopping in sales ,His on for 230k first week ,Wich considering what weezy sold 9 weeks ago and what kayne and 50 cent sold ,im sure game could have done atleast 400k+  but 230 is fuckin Tony yayo's numbers

I'm couting 23 quests on Game's album, but I also included hook singers with that.
There is not 1 song that doesn't have no feature on it. (Ok some songs are 95% game, but still)

I don't notice too many features...alot of them are just choruses and stuff anyway, and that really doesn't count.  But, i do agree that this is his weakest album of the 3.  Angel is the only real standout track for me.  There are about 5 other songs i'll listen to while i have the CD going, but Angel is the only track that makes me wanna put in the CD and bump it.  My Life would have been great if he would have got Nate Dogg on the chorus or someone else, but I can't stand that dude's whiney voice on the chorus, sounds like he's a boy going through puberty.  He's missing that one really great feel good song, like "Why U Hate The Game" was on his last album.  He needed one or two good retrospective songs as well.  If this truly is going to be his last album, he should have had more retrospective songs talking about his career, his struggles to make it, his success, etc.  The way this album ended, it really didn't seem like this was his final goodbye to the rap game.  It's still a decent CD, it doesn't deserve all the hate it's getting around here.  It's better than most of the stuff that's came out this year.

50 Cent says its a mixtape lol. ::)

his next album should have zero features, just to try to prove he can hold an album by himself (people on the hook is okay i suppose).

Ok lets not make a big deal of it, I wasn't dissin you but I like to give credits to all artists on each track. Even if it are additional vocals. I understand it ain't really fair to count some of them as quest appearances, but you can say the same about State Of Emergency (Ft. Ice Cube), how's that a feature than with just a few lines? Plus I shouldn't have counted DMX (2times) & Jelly Roll cause they didn't appeared on songs, just intro, outro & interlude. Dope Boys does feature some woman too, and well Travis Barker deserves his credit for his input on the song IMO. Just my thoughts, it's still a dope album I'd say.

1. Intro (Ft. DMX)
2. LAX Files (Ft. Shorty)
3. State Of Emergency (Ft. Ice Cube)
4. Bulletproof Diaries (Ft. Raekwon)
5. My Life (Ft. Lil Wayne)
6. Money (Ft. Betty Wright)
7. Cali Sunshine (Ft. Bilal)
8. Ya Heard (Ft. Ludacris)
9. Hard Liquor (Interlude) (Ft. Jellyroll)
10. House Of Pain (Ft. Traci Nelson)
11. Gentleman's Affair (Ft. Ne-Yo)
12. Let Us Live (Ft. Chrisette Michele)
13. Touchdown (Ft. Raheem DeVaughn)
14. Angel (Ft. Common & John Legend)
15. Never Can Say Goodbye (Ft. Latoiya Williams, Traci Nelson & Jellyroll)
16. Dope Boys (Ft. Travis Barker)
17. Game's Pain (Ft. Keyshia Cole & Grenique Harper)
18. Letter To The King (Ft. Nas)
19. Outro (Ft. DMX)

2. LAX Files (Ft. Shorty)

You're really reaching but whatever...

6. Money (Ft. Betty Wright)

Voice sample, bitch

9. Hard Liquor (Interlude) (Ft. Jellyroll)

Lol at this nigga counting a feature on a skit. Stop reaching

10. House Of Pain (Ft. Traci Nelson)

Huh? I didn't hear anybody on that track.

16. Dope Boys (Ft. Travis Barker)

Even I'm confused why he got a feature credit, all he did was play the drums.

There is only two damn ways to feel about a song or album. either you like the song or album or you dont.  But to say that the album is not good because he has to many guest on it or the song is not good because game did not make the hook is some fickle ass shit. all it takes is some muthafuckin reviewer or hatin azz nigga to say its too many guest or he did not keep it gangsta or its more like a mixtape.  fuck an opinion.  if you like that shit stand on yo own an ride to that shit and if you dont keep it movin i could give a fuck either way.

yo i wasn't digging it at first, but that was because i was only listening to
all the whack songs and the singles. after bumping it for a whole day
or two now non stop, i can say that after the first few listens
this shit starts to grow on you.

i think a lot of heads come in over analyzing trying to act like critics,
predicting what the album will sell, who gives a fuck. none of yall are
industry insiders or are gonna benefit from the album if it sells or doesn't.
just bump this shit, if its whack to you then its whack, if not then its not.

and i could careless how many features he has, the only whack features
was on house of pain and that track with raekwon(that beat was mad whack, and they
didn't have good formula).

Seriously, who do you think you are?
Just because you got much posts you act like I'm a nobody? And I ain't a nigga, you're allowed to say it tho if you think that's gangsta. You're quoting a part of it, read between the lines and you didn't had to quote hard liquor for example. I ain't posting that much here, but I ain't talking shit round here, what do you add to this thread except for trying to diss me?

yall are stupid to consider the RnB hook singers to be considered as actual collaborations........theyre merely used by Game to create a part of the song, everyone does that, it doesnt necessarily validate exactly how much help they provided in making the song, Game probably wrote the hooks and melodies himself, and just used the singers for their voices, theres nothing wrong with taht, they are still his songs, yall are acting like this was some compilation album or soemthing......

Game has a lot of haters.....it's normal when your on top....Ice Cube, Dre and Snoop...went through the same thing.....but at the end of the day you can't deny the music and Game makes good music

Ok, so what do you say does Ice Cube make a quest appereance on State Of Emergency?
IMO producing is slightly different than drumming, Travis Barker has much input in this song they really made this together. And not like, here is a dope beat so you can do the rest.

And some other dude said RnB quest appearances shouldn't count, so everyone has his own opinion. I get your point tho, hope u get mine.

i think to make a album you gotta scrap the features and get you a producer to produce the whole shit mabe a few feaure producers.. but you gotta concrete your self as a solo MC who can hold it down on his own with a producer from his own hood. before you venture down the shitty path that game has gone down

What?  Dude has two going on three classic albums.  If that's considered shitty, then I would like to see what great is.
