Title: The Game Should Drop 'Detox'
Post by: love33 on October 01, 2008, 07:38:59 PM
I've been holding it in for a long while now, but I'm just going to have to say it -- The Game should drop 'DETOX' himself.  Forget about Dre this and that.  This album that was supposed to "reestablish the West" has been on the back burner since 2003.  It's time that the man that saved the West Coast, The Game, comes out and drops the album.

Now I know The Game has talked about dropping it several times, but I really think it's time for a double album with a west coast lineup and only The Game has the ability to do this.  Cassidy, Llloyd Banks, Eminem, Truth Hurtz, and 50 Cent is not a 'Detox' album.

The Game could put together a killer lineup and feature Eastwood and Ya Boy all over it just like Snoop was featured on the original Chronic.  He could have production by Cool and Dre, Kanye West, Daz Dillinger, Warren G, Big Hollis, DJ Quik, Black Tobin, QD III, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Johnny J, Scott Storch, and DJ Pooh.  He could have all kinds of beats to showcase the talent.

Also, as a guestlist, he could put Big Eastwood and Ya Boy all over it with other appearances by Glasses Malone, The Luniz, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, Ice Cube, Tha Realest, Soopafly, Crooked I, Nas, Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, Dre'sta, The Relativez, Snoop Dogg, XL Middleton, Glasses Malone, Too Short, Mack 10, Richie Rich, Jayo Felony, Lil Rob, Baby Bash, and E-40.

It would an all-west guest appearances except for Nas and Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony and the hooks should be Chris Brown, Jagged Edge, Bobby Valentino, R Kelly, Nate Dogg, RL, T-Pain, Akon, and Usher.

The Game could pull this off, he's the one who puts the Westcoast in the limelight. Geffern would put up the money for it and it could be huge.

Actually, that doesn't sound too bad of an idea.  A few tweaks here and there and that could be a plan.

The line-up could be:

Artists                             Chorus:                            Producers:
Eastwood                         Butch Cassidy                    Hi-Tek
Ya Boy                             K. Dot                              Cool N Dre
Juice                               Trey Songz                        Scott Storch
Clyde                               Dion                                 Nu Jerzey Devil
Jay Rock                          Chrisette Michelle               Tre Beatz
G. Malone
Omar Cuz
Crooked I
Jayo Felony
X.O.
K. Dot
Ice Cube
Mack 10

Geffen is under the same umbrella as Interscope. Interscope is not going to cut into their own profits by letting another artist take away their moist anticpated album. It's cute to dream but Game would never get the budget to afford all those features in the first place.

Cassidy, Llloyd Banks, Eminem, Truth Hurtz, and 50 Cent is not a 'Detox' album.
Why isn't Eminem "Detox"? Because you don't like him? Game is dope but get off his johnson!

I don't really consider any Dre album a solo album.

LOL.....

I'd say a better idea would be for Quik to drop somethin similar...but it would be hard for him to hype it in that same way, since he's dropped like 3 albums since Chronic 2001 and he'll never get 10% of the buzz that Dre does, even though he should.

Have you guys heard Tony Yayo 's new mixtape with Whoo Kid, there's a song call ''Mr.12, 12, 58'' and it has all the instruments of a dre production if not mistaken. Just listen and pop up the volume a bit !
The beat is crazy, at 1:40 there's instruments which sounds like dre, might be also Dj Khalil ....

Feedback please !

game says it in the song COMPTON: "I just might put out Detox myself".  if game aint on DETOX, then thats a tragedy.  Game needs to put out a west coast sounding DETOX album, if he aint on dre's Detox. You could have producers from watever coast, as long as it sounds west coast!! Give the people what they wan hear!!

If he can't do it on a major label, then he should just put it out on the mixtape circuit.

Btw, this would not cut into interscope's profits.  remember kanye vs. 50??  they both sold well.

It's time that the man that saved the West Coast, The Game, comes out and drops the album.

Take your brainwashed bullshit out of here. Game saved the West? What has the Game done for the west? Nothing. He saved himself. All his success has done ZERO for the west. You see any of Game's rappers getting album deals? You see any other west artist sales up? You see Game putting any west coast rappers on his album to help their careers or start their careers? NO. NO. NO. He's done NOTHING for the west. He's done a lot for himself. Name one thing, the Game has done to make the west better, other then his personal success. That's right. Snoop did a lot for the west. Cube did a lot for the west. Dre did a lot for the west. Quik did a lot for the west. What has Game done? What proteges does Game have? What artists has Game brought into the mainstream?

The west is as worse off as it was 4 years ago. Nothing has changed, nothing has got better. Game hasn't saved anything, and I would love to hear you explain how The Game has helped west coast music. Thanks son.

Last time I checked Kanye and 50 didn't both put out albums with the same title. If Game is truly looking to move past that Dre stage and do it on his own, stealing his album title and biting off his legacy is a stepback. He did his Dr. Dre album with Advocate, he need to move on.
