I'd check Amazon.com the week of the release or around the date for the tracklisting. They may have it up or not, but it's worth a shot.

BTW: I been waiting on a Kurupt/Roscoe album for YEARS. Hope it delivers!

Damn, After hearing the snippets. This album might be one of the biggest disapointments. I had really high expectations when i heard that two of my favorite artist are coming together to put out a album. I began to worry about it, when i heard J Silva was producing the entire album. Now after hearing the snippets, my worste fear seems to come true....The beats sound very boring and i didnt hear one stand out track. Now you cant judge a ful album just on snippets soo im still hoping for the best. But the snippets completlly leat me down....  :-\

I didn't bump any samples and I'm not really going by any of the feedback so far, I'll form my own opinion after bumping it.

I have the reasonable fear that this album will sound like Daz' "Gangsta Party" and I won't understand why to put this out with such a producer... But let's see if they prove me wrong.

Silva pays the artists to do albums over his beats. Cheap for the artist, all they have to do is show up and rap. Royalities, etc I'm sure get worked out but he cuts out the middle man. Now if that equates to quality music is something completely different.

I just bought it off iTunes rather than waiting 3 weeks for it to come to Australian music stores.

First listen - its AWESOME. Reminds me a lot of Digital Smoke, but better.

Few deep joints and a few summer joints.

I dont particularly like Kokane on the tracks he is on, i have never really gotten into him but im sure i will get used to it.

Go cop it! The album is GREAT!

I was affraid J Silva ruined the beats but if he does produce the whole thing then he steps his game up
A very solid westcoast release

I've only listened to this on my way to school but judging from that, this is good stuff. That first song with Kokane is going to be in heavy-rotation, that I know for a fact.

I've also listened to it now and I gotta say that my fears of a second "Gangsta Party" haven't been confirmed.
This album is nothin really special - besides the fact that it's a Gotti/Scoe duo album which the world needed for like 7-8 years already - but it's way better than I expected. It's definetely something I will enjoy the next weeks. Especially the smooth joints impress me.
Most important: Kurupt and Scoe kill nearly all of the tracks, they did a great job on the mic. And props to J. Silva for steppin his beat game up a lil bit. This one has been a huge step upwards compared to his work on "Gangsta Party".

Could of been done alot better. I really hope Roscoe and Kurupt put out a proper album with production from Daz, Fred, Soopafly, Battlecat, Quik and other producers that work with the camp. The album aint bad, but these are 2 of my favorite rappers, I rather have a well put together album by them insted of a album the sounds like it was done in a week or so...But Roscoe and Kurupt need to do another album and get the proper production on iit next time.

I know I was originally hypin' this album up real big, but I honestly don't know how I feel about it. It's got to be the J Silva production. I just can't get past it, I mean, it has potential, but it's something about this guys style that's all wrong. I mean, it almost sounds like he either doesn't know how to mix or the album just isn't mastered. It's lacking depth. It lacks sufficient bass too and I feel that way in all his productions.

Roscoe and Kurupt did what I expected of them and they came correct. There is no doubt about that. I'm just kind of sad the album went down the way it did. These two knew fans been waiting for this for years and they took the quick way out by going the High Powered route. I'm a DPG fan till the end, nothing is going to change that, but I can't see this getting much replay other than a few songs. I'm a bit disappointed, maybe it will change.

Yeah Lots of west coming in 09, hopefully well see Jay Rock, Glasses, Bishio, Omar, Problem, maybe crooked and the ones listed above.
But back on topic my favorites tracks from album so far are
Hate on Me- Feat Kokane, track is funky and westcoast out
Game Been Missing- feat Daz, glad to hear Daz rapping like his oldself, with a dope beat and dope hook.
Bustin- We needed more of this on the album!
Smashin- another banger, great song by the duo
No Time to Waste- This is some smooth gangsta shit...very dope indeed.
I Got U- Probally my fav, deep lyrics by kurupt and overall just great song.
Overall good album, I would love to see these lyrical brother link up agin and give us a classic album with prod. by daz, soopa, fred, wellz, quik, and Cat. And maybe some more features from the YA Camp and Snoop, Nate, Quik rapping, Butch. That would be some classic shit. This album is definatelly worth owning if your a DPG fan, a Kurupt fan or a Scoe fan. Cop the album and support it. Cant wait for evrything else DPGC is bringing in the future... 8)

^^ They're horrible, honestly.. and K & R suffers from it, they hardly sound inspired at all.
Give them a fresh Alchemist beat, or Evidence, Hi-Tek, Focus, Khalil, Muggs, Battlecat, Rotem beat, etc. I bet they'll deliver.

It seems people are willing to listen to anything as long as Kurupt, Daz or Roscoe is on it.

Kurupt is in my Top 5 dead or alive and that's the truth, but I don't know about this project. I mean the two brothers do their thing on it, but J Silva ruined the album no getting around it. There's a handful of good songs, but the majority are skippers. It's not "hate" coming from me, just really disappointed. This is the second album this dude messed up the beats on that I've heard (Gangsta Party the other one). It would take a miracle for me to give him another shot in the future.

I came into buying this album knowing I am not going to hear some Fred Wreck/Dre/Battlecat type beats. Beats are for the most part subjective. Silva is getting better with his and I enjoyed the majority of them on this album. It had more live instruments and the beats were layered much better than Daz's which sounded more like rough drafts at times. But hell people say Dre's beats are wack so go figure.

Yeah, that's one thing I will agree on, I appreciated the fact that he actually used real instruments in this production.

The perception I get from this guy is that he got some chedda. He is in the industry and he got a wish list of people he want to work with and a bankroll to match. The x factor if and when he ever gets there is constantly improving his product. Better beats, etc. I think he learned from his mistakes on Daz's, made some improvements and then did Gotti & Scoe's. For the artists it is a no brainer unless they are completely turned off by what he is selling. I don't know I thought it was solid. Now for a musical junkie like Kokane it will be VERY interesting to see what kind of beats he comes up with for him.

I just think he needs to mix these beats better, they seem hollow at points. Sometimes the drums and bass aren't hitting enough when you can tell that was intention, but didn't deliver. Hopefully he's learning more as he goes on.

You guys are trippin..  Check this on good headphones, sounds balanced as hell..  I would reckon it would sound good on a good system too...  The way this is mixed is for the vibe to come off the guitars and horns, with the percussion sounding more live than a traditional beat..  Definitely not a bass-focused producer, which is good...  The only problem with _some_ of the beats is they aren't produced enough, could added sum extra elements or instrumental to some of them to make them more complete..

smh @ another "im industry, but im in da streets" line..  C'mon Roscoe...

Not feeling the lyrics, suuuuuuubstance boys!

I don't know, I mean I have a mean system that performs well with other albums in my car. It's not that ALL the songs on the album aren't powerful enough, but there were tracks where I was like "ehh, that kick is a little weak". I don't know, MAYBE I'm being too critical. I'll accept that maybe I'm being a little hard on the album since my first spin was a little disappointing. Next time through it I'll give it as fair a chance as I can.

However, you are 100% correct when you said that some tracks sound under-produced. I mean, maybe that's his style, who knows, but that's what I mean when I say the production is a little empty.

Don't get me wrong, this album is by no means trash. I'm pretty much all the stand out tracks that people have mentioned in this thread so far. Interestingly enough, I'm complaining about kicks not being hard enough and my favorite track right now is "All I Need".

Is it my favorite DPG album? Not even close. Is it hotter than most albums that came out in '08? Fa sho'!

+1, that's exactly how I feel... I would love to hear a mind-blowing album with both of them on some big name producers' tracks but when I saw it was J. Silva, I knew what to expect but I was still concerned on whether or not I'd be disappointed, which I personally wasn't  8)

I've given the album about 3 spins now and I think it's pretty dope

I bought the album and was disappointed  :(
Some dudes like Kurupt, Roscoe, Daz, Kokane ... they must have better producers cos this album sucks!
The only good track is "Game Been Missin" ... str8 bangin' 8)

my rating of the album : 3.5/10

a 3.5?!?

damn, i could understand a 6 or 7 cuz of the beats. but a fuckin 3.5? damn lol.

So it's not important who the rapper is or what he does, as long as the beats are good?

no im with you on that. it shouldnt matter the beats.

im sayin if he said, ill give this a 6 because he didnt like the beats, thats more reasonable than a 3.5.

im givin this shit a 8 because i dont even think the beats were all that bad lol.

Just gave the album a proper listen then and shits dope I reckon, dunno what all the hates about. Some of the beats don't have that much kick but mostly the productions all good, nothing amazing but its not rubbish. "I Got You" is dope, "Bustin" is fire minus the weak snare, and "Game Been Missin" in sick. Solid album I reckon!

This album is great.

I think people had a negative attitude on the production since the day it was said J Silva was producing the whole thing.

The production is fine! Especially on "Time to Waste" and "Game Been Missin"

You need to listen to it a few times. Let the album sink in!
