could be speaking to soon but what yall think, I hands down think its the best TI album I've ever heard and I don't think it has one bad song
I reckon shit will def be classic, it reminds me almost of like 50 cent GRODT album, not the music but kinda like the success it was doing at the time when it first dropped, besides the obvious sales (tho paper trail still selling real good for the times)
songs on it number 1 & 2 at same time and in my opinion even the singles r real dope then u got all these other dope tracks its crazy, bin listenin to it since i got it and still feel the same way
-
you are so correct.
-
With tracks like Live Your Life; Whatever You Like; Porn Star; and Swing Ya Rag?
Hell no
-
errr, no.
-
I reckon shit will def be classic
sure :D
-
No
-
True that niggas getting mad air play with the songs, but imo they are garbage songs. But if you in to this Rap/Hip-Hop thats out now, then you may consider them "bangers". Sorry, I'm stuck on the good old Rap from the early 90s.
-
classic? lmao, it wasn't even the best album this year...so we got 3-4 other classics that dropped too? :P
-
No way this is gonna be a clasisic.
It's the worst album he has put out, nearly half of this album is garbage.
All of his other albums shit on this one.

saying T.I. and classic in the same sentence is a crime on this board ;D
all jks aside, i am a big T.I. fan (*waits for hater to quote that part only*) and i don't think it's a classic..it is 1 hell of an album though, 1 of the best this yr..his 2nd best album overall..trap muzik is better and is a classic.
-
If you truly believe this is a classic, hang yourself...

A classic is something that sets the standard in its genre or category. Sometihng that other copy the formula from.
-
Of course it is. Along with Chingy's Jackpot, Nelly's Sweatsuit and Dj Khaled Listennnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Paper Trail>>>>>Illmatic

How has it set a standard? Its just your basic hip-hop album. No-one is gonna look back and think its a classic.
-

exactly what "Trap Muzik" did and is a classic; and yet not a single artist who has copied the formula has done it nearly as well as it was done on trap muzik.
-

Yer that gave me a feeling that he could bring a dope album to the table, but then songs like Whatever You Like leaked and really put the album down. He's showed he can do a good chick song (Why You Wanna) but then he goes and does a shit track like that.

Not too sure about a "classic" but definitely right up there. Lotta good tracks on that album.
-
this could eventually be classified as a down south classic but not an overall in my opinion..
-
Too early to call but it is becoming one of my favorite TI albums.
-
its got a lot of good songs but it aint a classic

no way lol..luda has too much filler..maybe his 1st 1 is..but thats it..

I don't agree. The first album is great and I was just listening to Red Light District, which has 2 or 3 filler tracks. Same can be said for Release Therapy and I have to peep Chicken N Beer again. T.I. has preety much the same discography, King is considered his 2nd best album and that has 2,3 filler and I've never really listened to Trap Muzik (will do that soon).

Yepp, been saying this for years now.

I hated Chicken N Beer, lol..Release Therapy started off sick and finished well but i didn't like the middle part of that album..woah at the bold..considered his best album..rolling stone just dubbed it a classic and #95 greatest (rap?) album of all time..

this could eventually be classified as a down south classic but not an overall in my opinion..
this whole cd has nothin that even comes close to down south music..i have no idea where that comment came from..did u listen to the same cd as me?

"down south classic" doesn't mean the music itself has to have a "south" sound to it dude..T.I. is from the south and that specific region may eventually consider this album to be a classic..not good enough to have all 4-5 coasts consider it a classic, but one coast where the artist is from (south) may consider it to be..

Shouldn't a "Down South Classic" be strictly Dirty dirty?

no, the music itself doesn't have to have any specific sound for the artists' own town to consider it a personal classic to them..T.I. is from the south and no matter what "sound" the album has, the music is generally going to be more appreciated in his home region because naturally, that's where most of his fans reside.

Man Paper Trail is a great album on any coast imo. It is a great all around album.

Hell no

Trap Muzik def isn't a classic, and def not the #95 greatest Hip Hop album of all time. It's not the same universe as Paid In Full, The Chronic, Illmatic, 3 Feet High and Rising, Low End Theory, 36 chambers, Doggystyle, etc etc. He simply got mention because Hip Hop has mostly been pure ass in the last several years and they try to include something recent so younger and newer fans will pick up their mag. Pretty sure RS also said Weezy is the goat or some shit.

I gotta agree with you there. Its a very good album, but I can't play it all the way through, that is a definition of a classic.
