If Em is droppin first (late December), followed by 50 (February), then Dre goes back in to supposedly finish "Detox" then that means Bishop's shit isn't even on Interscope's to-do-list. Not that I really give a fuck about dudes music but I do feel bad for him.

If the industry worked the way it used to, Em would drop, maybe showcase what's his name, Cashis or something if he is still even on Shady, Dre would drop and Bishop would be showcased even though Dre would also include the usual suspects and while the buzz is still hot, Bishop would drop all in 2009. Of course 50 would drop somewhere in there and Cashis would be the odd man out assuming he is still even on Shady....I'm not saying Bishop has the Buzz that Snoop had back in the day but Damn.......Dude should not be the next Hittman...He deserves better than that..

Uh, if Bishop is all over Detox then believe he will release an album. Detox will acquaint him nicely with a big audience. All he'll need is 25% of the Detox audience to do well, in this day.

if it drops, then it will definately only drop after detox, because bishop will not to get exposure by being on dre's album, and i think that if interscope were really serious about bishop lamont, then they would get him on the eminem record. he needs to feature on other interscope albums and not just detox. if he doesnt, then that just shows that he aint good enough to feature on other peoples albums on interscope beside's dre's album who he is supposedly a protege of. its not a good look if other artists on interscope wont throw hima bone to feature on their albums too.

its confirmed that 50 is dropping jan/feb (i'd go with feb or march just cause of the normal delays) so em definitely isn't gonna be dropping at the same time or even 1/2 months later, regardless of what he or the media might be saying...
and bishop isn't coming out (if he comes out at all) before 2010 at the earliest and thats if detox drops...sitting on the shelf is a lame position to be in. if shit is hot it needs to come out immediately...

the only way eminem is dropping first quarter is if interscope/aftermath push eminem ahead of 50 and basically switch release dates.

i guess there is a chance they could drop em's album close to 50 but this is interscope so it's pretty hard to imagine 1 album dropping let alone 2 in quick succession. but i don't see 50 getting pushed back to make room for anyone. he was already pretty annoyed at interscope over the curtis release and given the size of the guys ego and the fact he's already dropped a single and video i don't think he's moving.
more importantly for both releases is the desperate need for big international singles - something that will be outrageously popular, street/pop at the same time and quality music. this has been lacking from the industry for some time. 50 has to drop a record that is actually 'in da club' part 2 or his album is gonna flop miserably.
i really like 'get up' and its one of the best singles in quite a while, especially from dre, who is blatantly ghost-producing for scott storch again. like how candy shop was 'mixed' by dre but this time its more obvious as the drums aren't anything like any of scott's beats. but it's still not good enough - the video is SILLY and it's not 'in da club' part 2. getting there but not THE track to get people excited about 50 again, which is a pretty hard task.

By that rationale, Game's debut should have flopped since Interscope didn't feature him on Eminem's "Encore" album just a few months prior.
Once again, it sounds like everyone is jumping up and down trying to play "I know the industry" on the Internet and Bishop being dropped is the only conclusion anyone can come up with. Common sense kind of says if you have two of the biggest artists in the game about to drop and a third album, the most anticipated in hip-hop, all dropping on the same label within the next year that the immediate plan is probably not in breaking a new artist but once that first of those three albums drops and the Soundscan numbers come in, it's a different story. It's the comfortable bet to say that Bishop is over but it's such a ridicilous example of jumping the gun. Wait until 50 and Em come and then see what happens. They're not gonna start promoting a new artist under a questionable situation with music sales, they're gonna play the big names first.

i think Jimmy H is exactly right but that means a really long wait for bishop. the game was able to come out but he did have a lot of support from 50. since then numerous artists, all of whom are way more talented than game, have 'left' or jumped ship from the 'math. even busta rhymes, who has a proven track record and easy crossover appeal couldn't work things out. doesn't look good but hopefully things do change.
again he's right that it will all come down to how excited people get about these new releases and the respective sales :0

I think Bishop would be smart enough to realise that he's never coming out with an album on Aftermath and release his shit elsewhere ASAP to capitalise on the buzz he's generated so far....
...but there's no sign of any discontent from Bishop so I don't think he's done with Interscope just yet.

but someone had to give him the money to fund 4 dope as fuck mixtapes that got
downloaded 100s of thousands of times over. plus grow up was actually
catching spins all across the nation. he was even on the wendy williams show
out on the east coast. he was getting major burn with almost no official promo.
the label put out a cease and desist because they didn't want his single
taking away any attention from their other projects.
they already stated that. grow up even had an article in billboard because it
was catching burn.
just cuz none of yall were feeling it don't mean no one was feeling it.

at one point, Joel ortiz and Stat Quo were thinking the same thing..But at the end of the day, they still either got dropped or left, Stat Q Recently said that he left, coz Dre wasnt working with him, they still gave him the advance, but Math/Scope are so Rich, that they dont care, they just give u the advance and its up to u to leave or what..
All Bishop or anybody ever need is a single, Dope single, Like Game did, Like Nas Did, Like Luda Did, Like Rick Ross or anybody, even if its got a feature, all u need is a dope single, and you good.

Only rapper on the West That Can Actually Do Whatever the fuck he want is Game, He Dropped My Life, and Shit almost got 1 million digital downloads and was all over. Even him, after Pain,Dope boys and My life, he is Dpoing Camera Phone and Touchdown singles, are acutally on the radio now, even Game had to do what label told him to do.

There is no ghost producing going on here. Scott can easily make shit like get up in terms of the melodies etc and the sounds happening in it but the drums to do sound crisp so IF dre did anything on the joint, he mixed it IF this is a scott storch production.
We'll find out when it drops when we see the credits but dre dont ghost produce for niggaz like storch. Storch a gifted muthafucker when it comes to copying styles and adding his crazy keys to it...ask dre, ask timbaland, ask lil jon..lol...for real, dudes funny.

If they meet the expectations you introduce them into another market. When you begin introducing the artists don't ship out twenty cds a store, ship out five or so to x amount of stores. Keep it limited to save money. Over time if they proove their worth then you can invest big and stock twenty cds a store across the nation.
The worst thing they can do is hold back an artist from dropping a cd. Imagine if Nas never dropped illmatic or Jay never dropped Reasonable Doubt . Those didn't sell like hotcakes but over time they have. Look where Jay is at now . Labels aren't thinking straight. They're not investing in their artists properly.

Everything mixtape he dropped shitted on the majority of albums that came out. He beat nas's nigger with nigger noise he killed Game's LAX. I can't predict the future but I hope dude drops the Reformation on Aftermath. It'll most likely be a classic.
I wasn't bumping stat quo until he got the fuck out. When he started dropping the mixtapes, dude hit my radar. The South Got Something to Say and The Bailout are banging. Aftermath lost a good artist.
Here's how they should sell these up and coming artists. You give them limited distribution in a region that they would most likely sell in. For example, Stat Quo in the south. If they meet the expectations you introduce them into another market. When you begin introducing the artists don't ship out twenty cds a store, ship out five or so to x amount of stores. Keep it limited to save money. Over time if they proove their worth then you can invest big and stock twenty cds a store across the nation.

Dope Boys was a sorry Jay-Z Roc Boy rip off. Let Us Live was poorly executed. Why is he name dropping on that track? Game's quality tracks are far too few. Just Beginning [Where I'm From], Walk Thru The Sky, Truth Rap, Church for Thugs, The Documentary, Where I'm From, One Night, Doctor's Advocate, Ol' English, Why You Hate The Game, Never Can Say Goodbye, Game's Pain, Letter to the King , and Spanglish are quality Game tracks. I won't include questionable tracks like Hate It or Love It and West Side Story because I believe 50 cent's side of the story. I had high hopes for the Game after Doctor's Advocate but LAX was a major disappointment. Where as he showed lyrical growth on the second cd he took a step backwards on the third. I think dude has a lot of talent but lacks lyrically. I wish he had a nice ghost writer because he'd be the complete package. He's my favorite vocalist in the industry. Who can switch up styles like him?
I enjoy Bishop because he spits real lyrical shit on a consistent basis more so than game does. He doesn't have the excuse of "name dropping is my style." He rips it on tracks like The Translator, HisStory, Down [I'll still Kill] original verison, Africa, City Light, Everyday, Can't Figure It Out, Grow Up, and My Opinion. The list goes on. I think he needs to improve his vocals but that's it. I don't give a fuck about swag. His music speaks for it self. Besides Game's swag/personality is a joke. Dude seems more two faced than a fucking a mirror.
I don't know why mainstream artists want to work with Game. Maybe it's cause dude has name recognition on the West Coast and is the only major selling artist, maybe there's an economic interest, maybe he's fun in the studio. I can't tell you why. It does seem that most mainstream artists stick with mainstream artists for singles.

he's helped to try and bring other cats into the game, but he cant bring everybody into the game. others need to share the burden too, and i understand that he's like one of the few artists on the west that are still successful, but that doesnt mean that automatically because of that, that he has to put everybody else in the game because there are no other successfull artists on the west that can bring new cats into the game. snoop cant be blamed for that. snoop has made his contribution, and still is contributing to helping other westcoast cats out.

No, that's not what the sentence was meant to convey. I should have started a new paragraph but didn't. I'm not trying to make that argument. I'm trying to say Bishop has a legitimate right to diss Game because Game got all emotionally and dissed Bishop for no real reason.
I was only making the comment about Game v. Bishops career because people hate on Bishop's career but act like Game's was any better when compared their time lengths and relative positions. The only reason Game got the jump off was because of Iovine's plan and G-Unit's popularity.
I don't know shit about what ifs. Who knows what would have happened if Game got dropped? No one does. Who knows how long Game would have stayed on the label? No one does.
