i wonder how lil wayne features work. i mean, does the skill of his verse depend on how much money they throw at him? like they give people 3 or 4 options.
Level 1 $75,000 - wayne will rhyme gun and fun 4 times in a row while on auto tune, and mumble other nonsense
Level 2 $100,000 - wayne will murmer punchlines that don't makes sense...on auto tune
Level 3 $125,000 - the first half of the verse will be decent, the rest is i'm the best rapper alive, that's why hip hop is alive
Level 4 $150,000 - he gives you a good verse, and raps normal. after the effect you say "wow, if he would actuallly rap normal he could be decent"

don't get me wrong it wasn't anything great but it wasn't bad IMO, for a club track it was good... the album grew on me a lot too which is why I copped it

this year had some great stuff & some awful stuff.
Game, Cube, Nas, TI, Common, Reks, mixtapes from Budden, Bishop & Chamillionaire. im sure there is more albums that i forgot.
it had its low points with some of Wayne's music, Kanye's style change, Soulja Boy is going to make a new album... :'(
but we got some hope, '09 should be a heavy west year with most of the "claiming" albums to drop (almost all of the New West); you got Eminem & 50 Cent ) maybe a surprize from Dre. ;D
we know that there is a new SUPER GROUP "Slaughterhouse"; should put a saving on Hip Hop. ;)
Xzibit is what i wanna hear in '09 though! ;) 8)
