I thought since the Uk has made even more moves in the rap game this year its only fair to have a thead where we can discuss the year and the best releases of the year (Singles, Albums, Mixtapes)

Yeh, the video is class, don't think anyone was expectin something like that, tbh the whole album suprised me as he said it would be pop grime so i was expecting the worst but since it leaked the other day its been on constant play

Wheres my brother is a crazy tune. Wiley dropped heat on that.
Personally for me, Sways new album was fire. I think it was on the level of his last album and with even better production. The UKs been dropping a lot of heat this year. Chipmunk, Tinchy, Wretch 32, Wiley, Sway, Kano etc. Kanos song with Chase and status is banging too. I think we need a thread full of links to the best songs from this year.

These are mostly classed as UK grime/rap whatever u wanna call it and pop grime is just an expression of watered down commercial grime music

Does anyone have that new Harvey (ex so solid) album Back To The Begining ,i thought it would be wack as fuck but the singles excuse me ft romeo & asher d and if i was your man ft nathan are bangin, apprently the album has chipmunk and a few others on it so i wouldnt mind checkin it out if anyone has it ???

nice. Bashy is dope and im a fan of Ghetto. I know Wileys got something comin cause of that Wheres my brother tune. I also found out that Dizzees doin something so looks like it could be a good year... Im hoping Tinchy Stryder drops something too.

Like the Ironik CD. Decent. The I'm Guna Be Your Man Remix at the end is sick. Ghetto and Tinchy, amazing.

whats ur opinions on the electro grime stuff atm. I think its good if artists do it like Wiley, one commercial album and one underground album. Ghettos Sing for Me remix could be quite big this year...

Iam suprised Ghetto aint big like Kano and the rest of them, he can flow. I would say he is one of the best things to come out of the uk in music.

Ghetto's definitely one of the best lyricists i think he had trouble making something commercially-viable pre-"sing for me"....but i bought "Ghetto Gospel" and "Freedom of Speech" and both still get rotation now,sometime think cus he's always on a hype on set's that people dont recognize the range of songs he makes
