For starters, you have not chosen any of Premier's best work in there, and secondly, they are nowhere near his level. Thats not saying they are rubbish because they are not, but they don't even come close.

opinions r opinions... good work and best work shows, and these r not The 6s' best work. I dont wanna jump to conclusions but i think whatever 3-6 or Preme track I put up you're either gonna critisize it badly (3-6) or you're gonna say its not his best or choose a raggity ass song by either or and put it up against each other. Its cool though, ALOTTA newbies and ol' skool heads dont know about the underground triple six mafia days or with the new shit they just hear 3 or 4 songs and the single and classify it off as "another southern koon album". DJ Paul & Juicy J were and still are DJ's and Producers since Preme was droppin his first shit wit' Gangstarr and them.

juicy j and dj paul make great beats that when you break them down are similar to the way premo makes his. they just sound different in the way samples are triggered and the amount of hi hats used in a track. premos beats just come off smoother and i think that appeals to a lot of the whiteboys here who have low energy and are scared of crazy black people gettin buck.

Besiides no1 can say Right Now that there will never ever be a producer/dj better than Preme (look at 9th Wonder). its too early to label DJ Premier a Doctor J of hip hop. There's so many more talented producers that came out in the past 10 years while he's still makin' beats in this day. I like preme's work but I still cant understand why he is considered this great producer... he takes a sample, makes a 4 bar loop and adds simple drums, maybe a bass line... It's very easy to do... compared to catchy compositions that dj quik/scott storch etc come up with

Only if the Media has it's way (Premo will be the only one up top shinin'). I say that with love, but dogg besides a random few niggaz on the internet- Preme isn't big outside of NY and PA and MA. I live in Maryland trust me. U could argue with me all day about that "he's known worldwide" shit but facts are facts- A Three 6 concert will outsell a Gangstarr concert anyday (mostly anywhere), and the venue WONT be filled with a buncha' teenagers (I've been to too many). And its not all about how many NYC style rhymes you can come up with (its all about the song). Yeah they aint the best (even though you're sleeping hard on Juicy J') they can still come up with a decent enough rap so that their albums dont sound horrendous to the ears after 6 months.

If you ask me, even though (obviously) Preme has more numbers Paul & Juicy win. U can't deny Preme's talent (and I'm not tryin' 2) but same goes for HCP. Artistically I think 3-6 have an edge (and in the more recent years that's proven to be true- No Industry glitches either). They started this whole get buck music era, they are the Godfathers. like Ice T is to 'reality (gangsta)' music. Do ya history homies- Paul & J have done alot more for this game than you know. The Oscars/Grammy/Tony's, etc. are ALL rigged- all i can say is that i've never heard "its hard out here for a pimp" on the radio or heard it anywhere else besides that 10 minutes in the movie (why wasn't "Whoop That Trick" nominated?). they finally got the credit they deserved. Why do u think 3-6 has been more "out there" these past couple of years instead of Lil' Jon (who does tons of ghost production btw)? Real Hip Hop heads know what I'm sayin'. 3-6 will forever go down as some of tha baddest muthafuckaz to ever grace a microphone period. whether u like 'em or not.
