I personally hate the fools music, but he was nice on this track and if he's gonna be on Detox he better be rappin like this. I take it though that this was just a Detox session leak, like that Could Have Been You track. Hope it's not a single though, because as nice as it is, it's not even close to a single. I wouldn't mind this being on the actual album, but thats probably not happening now.

^^^ I think it was good but not amazing. The start was aight and the best was towards the end. Nas went in as usual and the hook was pretty dope. With proper speakers and it finally mixed down this would be a dope track (whoever uses it).

I think this is far superior than Crack a Bottle. I expect this kind of track from Dre so I think the lyrics match dude's image. He confirms his legacy and reasserts himself as an artists. It accomplished that. Ya'll some haters.

Shit is pretty hot. Can't tell much about the beat but as far as the lyrics go I'd rather that Dre would spit the Nas part. Ain't nothing wrong with T.I.'s verse but it's nothing we haven't heard from Dre before.
BTW it looks like this is Aftermath tactic for Detox ? To leak the skeleton of the track to build anticipation and then release the full version and riding it stricly on popularity wawe ? It worked with Crack A Bottle, we'll see what they do with this one. Maybe on a re-release for Paper Trail ?

Probably, but like we all know, the expectations for Detox were too high. This is a good song, but I can understand if someone says "not Detox material". Either way, it's a nice track, and i wouldn't mind if it was on the album. It pretty much can't be now though.

After hearing the clear version I don't think much of the beat (except in the chours which sounds great), Crack A Bottle is much better production wise. I hope this is just a skeleton and if they decide to release the final version with Dre rapping, the beat gets tweaked too. This does sound like something Khalil would do with some additional Dre production perhaps ?
And who the fuck is on the chours ? First I thought Dre but now after hearing the clear version sounds like LL.

Fans are so thirsty for Dr. Dre's Detox that they are bootlegging tracks before the Doc even gets to lay down his vocals. On Wednesday (February 18), another Dre song hit New York airwaves. DJ Envy played a song called "Topless" that sounded like it was supposed to feature Nas and T.I. when finished. The song — obviously not mastered or fully recorded and released without Dre's permission — sounds fresh out of the studio.
Tip starts the song with a reference to the Doc. "It's the D.R.," Tip raps. "Made the West side worldwide, no PR/ Gangsta-rap god, I'm the end all, be all/ California love from the Bloods to the C-Dogs."
The King of the South's rhymes go on to suggest that Dre's track record is unblemished.
"Face it, you'll never be greater than the Doc, ask 'Pac," he raps. Tip was recently in the studio with Dre during Grammy weekend.
There's no question about Nas' raps on the record. He explodes on the beat with vintage Nasty Nas lines: "Your skin's a travelling bag of your existence/ Yours is shabby and scabbed while mine's glistening/ Vivid on my skin how many continents I visit then/ You can journey with me to different places by listening."

T.I.'s basic verse ain't exactly comparing to what Jay-Z ghost-wrote for 'Still Dre'.
Shit, Dre could held a competition on Dubcc and we could of wrote of him better verses.
Nas's random verse along with the wacky hook and you end up with a song all over the place.
Beat sounds like something his co-producers make on nearly every other track.
Let's hope he's angry enough to scrap this song all together.

For real. This obviously isn't the final version for starters. Also I remember liking "Still Dre" when it came out, but not being blown away by it or anything. Later I heard the snippet to "Next Episode" and was utterly speechless. After hearing this track, detox or not, it makes me confident that Detox will be an amazing album even if it doesn't satisfy the plethora of fans on this forum that are close-minded and downright stubborn.

After a few days of constantly listening, I´ve realized that this track has an incredible replay-value :o Thank you Dre for choosing to go in this direction with the beats for Detox!! The beat gets more advanced everytime i listen to it, first i heard it i was like, wtf, another generic dre beat without a soul, but now i get the chills everytime that voice choir comes in at 02:50 - Goddamn thats beautyful!!!

i like this!! This is pretty banging! I dont know whether this would be detox sound but its a pretty banging track! Much better than crack a bottle imo! Much more life to it and the rapping is much better. Ti comes real nice/lively in the dre interpreter lol and nas kills it like usual! 8)

There's probably hundreds of tracks from the Detox sessions; it just means another beat will get finished and mixed instead of this one.
