Went ahead and purchased. I hope this project is a success. I know the Crooked I projects weren't your fault, but it was never-the-less, pretty disappointing when they fell through. BTW, if this project is successful, are you still thinking about releasing those other ones you had mentioned in that poll you took?

They were pushin' "Get Ready" with Kokane as the single at the time. When the album actually dropped they added "Smooth Sailin" and started pushing that as the single. I used to have it burned but that was years ago.

Yeah the tracks with Soopafly, Daz, and Bad Azz were pulled before the leaked version hit the net due to the DPG vs Death Row (including Kurupt and Roscoe) beef. Sad cuz Bad Azz and Roscoe had great chemistry at the time.

I only counted 8 tracks that I could pin down as being the same on both releases. Some of 'em who knows, because I don't know if the skits were the same skits or not. And there is a possibility that some of tracks could have more than one name. But over all, it looks like the one DeathrowsFinest has for sale would be worth checking out.

Wow. The status of the orders is a little disapointing. I wouldn't say only one person gets it though. I paid for mine. These projects going nowhere is just getting old though. I see where you're coming from, I really do. At the same time, I can't make other people buy it. I think this looks like a solid project, and I was also looking forward to some of the other ones that you might bring out. But as a person with a limited amount of money at my disposal, I can't do much past paying for my copy.

Yeah. I think $20 is pretty reasonable. I look at it like this; if a project like this comes out I know going in I might have to pay a little more than I would for a regular cd. But considering the scarcity of the material you're buying, that's kind of a given. I just try to absorb the cost, by playing things a little more conservative on some of my other expenses for the week. (i.e. maybe not buying any other cds for the week or as you said, not going to the bar and blowing a bunch of money)

I understand how you feel, but the "original" copy that Deathrow's Finest has is probably on a cdr too. And I imagine it would be way to expensive to press up onto real cds (especially at the 20 dollar price and with low orders). So then you're only viable option is a cdr, which would be just as easy to do from your home pc.

The problem is that no one's selling other than FTP, and that's only if they sell a hundred copies. There has to be more people out there who have it than just DeathrowsFinest, Los Skanless, and FTP though. But no one's selling. It's frustrating.

Now, he wants to sell the roscoe cd to multiple people, because apparently selling a crooked I cd to multiple people takes 233% more effort and hassle than selling a roscoe cd to multiple people.
Now he is complaining that not enough people are not buying it, so he probably won't sell it. So making $0 profit, is much better than making $60 profit.
He is also so worried about not making a profit, that he still doesn't want to sell the crooked I cd to multiple people, because he is a saint and already "sold the cd to los skanless" and he is such and honorable person and gave los skanles his word that he wouldn't sell the crook cd to anyone else. So honorable of a person that he sold it to los skanles for the low price of $1300, because he was such a fan.

Or it's more likely because it's being sold for $20 on some sort of "Wait and See" program. Has this kind of thing ever worked? A pre-order generally means you're paying so you can get the item when it streets. These bootleg cats are pretty much publicizing how they're operating and doing their whole hustle sideways. Once you pull out of selling something that you've advertised and people pay for, that becomes your reputation. There's a lot of potential customers who actually wait on feedback from the first people who buy it to see if it's worth it. When their feedback comes back negative, you lose them forever. Something to consider.

DeathrowsFinest was smart though, in that he at least sold his copy of the Crooked I cd to one person who was willing to pay a shitload of money, so he at least made his money back. And then Los Skanless tried to sell his, but I think he canceled his because so many people wanted to argue over the price. But where's everyone else who has the cd? Look at FTP, for instance. They're not the only other people who have the album, but they're a shining example of a group of dumbasses who have it; are trying to show off with it; and so far haven't made a nickle with it. And they're not the only ones. I mean, I understand the thinking behind pre-orders. But when you set the pre-order at 100 copies, you're just scaring potential buyers away. Yeah, I see your side of it too, man. And personally, I don't have a problem at all with how you've handled the Roscoe project. Setting the pre-orders at 15, to me, is reasonable. That shouldn't be an unrealistic quota. I was adressing the Crooked I situation, as it has also been discussed at length, in this thread. To me, the pre-orders on FTP's Crooked I project (which unfortunately, right now, is the only Crooked I project) are set too high. As far as the Roscoe thing though, I think you're doing about the best job that you can. (I sent you a pm regarding that too, btw.) I wish that if they we're going to sell this Crooked I project though, that they would keep the shit within reason.

True for the most part, there are some things that have not leaked and probly never will. Simply because of the amount of money the groups have put in to the music. That levels approach is good for security, but the draw-back is that it really limits the number of people who are buying from them. I figured they'd try to go to that though, because they've complained for years about all the leaking of their projects.
