But none of you American's recognise who invented hockey, basketball, and baseball. We did, Canada... that's right! Basketball was invented by a Canadian high school phys ed. teacher and then he brought it to the US. Baseball was invented in Canada and then popularised in the US in the mid-nineteenth century.

Sorry, you're wrong and so is that site (or those sites as the case may be). I've done my research and although both sports were invented in America they were also both invented by Canadians. Granted, the rules are probably very different now then they were then so you can claim that the current versions were invented in America.
Also, the original version of baseball was very similar to the British game rounders so you can claim that the British invented the sport too. The honest truth when it comes to baseball is that nobody's quite sure but the prevailing theory is that a Canadian (I honestly do forget his name) invented baseball.
Basketball, on the other hand, we're sure about. Invented in the US by a Canadian. However, it to evolved from a British game called netball.

All of that is right except for the hockey one since ice hockey is so different than field hockey that they're totally different sports. The only thing that's the same about then is that they both have "hockey" in the name...
