“I will leave (Def Jam) right now and go over there to Shady. I don't care, 'cause they still doing hip-hop and I love it. Anybody supporting it, I'm there. Big up to Shady though, but I ain't off Def Jam yet, f*ck. But I'm there though. I'm still rockin'. Come get me for a record though, let's make it happen."
BlackOut 2 In stores this Tuesday!

i think that would be absoloutely awesome for shady records and eminem's and redman's career's. make that happen.
-
Would be really interesting having Redman on Shady Records.. could you imagine Redman and Shady collabing? Bring Method why your at it Redman. Shit would be dope!!!
-
could you imagine Redman and Shady collabing?
They already did..
-
Eminem said Redman is his favorite rapper according to "'Til I Collapse".
"It goes, Reggie, Jay-Z, Tupac and Biggie, Andre from Outcast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas and then me."
-
not the best thing to say when your latest Def Jam release comes out in a few days

Well, the promotion is pretty much already lined up at this point. Badmouthing the label you're on is never a really good look but artists on Def Jam always tend to have a love-hate relationship with the label.
-
lol wtf
-
Redmans smoked too many trees
-
Doesnt Red have Muddy Waters 2 coming out through the label this year? Also he wants to go from a label that puts albums out with no promotion to a label that will promote the hell out of any album provided Jimmy lets it come out? Hmmmm

I bet Jimmy would greenlight a Redman album executive produced by Eminem in a heartbeat.
-
Def jam doesn't care about hip hop.Mark my words withing two years they will have a rock band or two on the label that will see ten times the promotion any hip hop artist gets
-
Reggie - "Off the Wall"
Jay-Z - "Renegade"
2Pac - "One Day At a Time" + more
Biggie - "Dead Wrong"
Andre 3000
Jadakiss - "Welcome 2 D-Block"
Kurupt
Nas
We need an updated collabo with him and Red and we need him to finally get on a track from Andre, Kurupt, and Nas.

I would have like to have seen that planned second disc for "Encore" featuring collabos with his favorite artists.

Its true though on a mainstream level Shady drop some seriously dope shit. I'd love to hear a redman album on shady
-
it would be good and interesting.
-
Oh damn. Let's hope not.
-
very intresting, probs would be tight, maybe we could see a couple traks with dr.dre & redman
-

Well, Redman would get promoted right and would get more exposure (he deserves it), Def Jam ain't doin' that for him. It would dope to hear Redman on some Eminem, Kon Artis and other Aftermath/Shady/G-Unit camp producers beats.
I hope when Dre hear this, he give a beat for ten,
Cause I stay on the corner like squegeemen - Redman (From Long Beach 2 Brick City)
Red/Dre is a collabo that i always wanted to hear. Reggie sounded real dope on "The Set Up" (Remix).
-
you got a link to that track?
thanks

The album is not that good, too many tracks (20) but there's many dope songs. Dope production on the album (DJ Premier, Battlecat, Fredwreck, Meech Wells, L.T. Hutton,
Jelly Roll, Josef Leimberg, Hi-Tek, Just Blaze, The Neptunes and even E-Swift dropped a beat on it.)

I do recall him saying that at one point but I think it was in the very early stages of putting the album together.
-
i think it would be a good move but who is actually still on shady ? Cashis ? D12 ?
-
if red ever went to shady, hed be in good hands.
besides the point, whos pickin up black out 2?
-
Should be interesting if it happens. "Off The Wall" was tight. Only sucky part is if Em produces for him. He's a great MC but one of the shittiest producers I've ever heard.
IMHO
-

It's better if there's only a few artists signed, cuz then Em can concentrate on Redman's album (if this would ever happen.)
-
"I C Dead People" is great, Red on the mic and Eminem produced it.
