Nah, I'm pretty sure it was cooked baked chicken, and maybe it sat there for a day or 2 in the summer but there was maggots crawling out that...that's all I know and it was nasty.

i do it all the time. you'll be okay. if not drink it with some milk and it'll help absorb most of the bacteria. and if you got some lemon/lime drizzle it on there too. it'll be tasty and help kill more more crap on it that'll give you the hershey squirts.

Realistically man, the only ways there would be a problem is if your living conditions weren't up-to-par.....
I leave food out for a couple hours all the time,I don't have a bug problem and I keep a clean kitchen 85%(hey, no body's perfect) of the time... there are no flys to land on my food.... I have no problems...

The misconception of that practice is people tend to think its about the current food going bad, but its just recommended so u don't put a boiling hot dish in the fridge and wack out the temp inside the fridge, possibly spoiling something else in the fridge ;D

I always make a point to put food in the fridge if I want to eat it later and nuke it in the microwave when I am going to eat it. No need to just set it on the counter.
