and you just might see one of the west coast's biggest records last year getting a facelift... on some epic shit.

we had a listening session last night with terrace, kurupt, quik, Murs, Snoop, soopafly, problem, j black, uncle chucc, marlon, dj LT, and others..

and the topic of the thread is what the general consensus is of what most people felt after hearing it last night..

There must have been some wack ass songs on there for the type of hate I see that album get. I mean some of yall hated that shit. To me, a joint like "Fuck Yall" was one of the best west coast joints I heard in a long ass minute. Keep in mind the west has bored me for several years with a few exceptions, so I admittedly have prolly missed some stuff. But Kurupt might be ready to start droppin some dope shit based on the limited shit I heard on Blaqout.

But if We Fly High is gassin this album up to this extent, I think it carries some weight. I def wanna hear this shit.

You get these albums like blaqkout or say hi to the bad guy, and they just get hyped up for so long, and everyone on this forum talks about how they are gonna be classic, and then they are just average albums. I truely cannot remember the last album that I just felt "wow, this is a true work of art."

he NEVER sounds invigorated or inspired on the mic anymore...he sounds like he is half assing it all the time now.
the only time kurupt is worth a shit is if hes in the middle of a beef, THEN you hear that old aggressive style come out.

shit rosco holds the mic down better then kurupt these says and i never liked rosco that much.

This project suffered because of the direction Quik pushed it. And I think that's why Kurupt came off the way he did. Quik had some dope beats on there. but some of that experimental shit they did had DJ Quik's name written all over it.

I really liked the production on those and Kurupt was better then usual, and if those were just internet leaks like Luna says then they have even better songs on the album, that means Kurupt is gonna have some better lyrics there. I truly hope so.
