goodfellas is really good..its very different and if any movie could beat scarface then goodfellas be it. the godfather is not far behind tho.

Nah, its not just talked about cause of the end man, its all through a crazy classic movie. I don't even know how many times I've seen it , at least 20 times and I never really get tired of it lol, a lot of replay value. I was just watching it on tv the other night, matter of fact. Boyz N Tha Hood is another personal fav of mine!!!

i just personally don't think it was that great of a movie, the end had me hyped; but overall the movie was okay.
all the movies Roccy named are much better movies, in my opinon. ;D

It's about three decades of life inside a crew that belonged to the Lucchese mafia family in New York and everything is pretty much seen through the eyes of Henry Hill, a member of that crew.
the movie is right up there with the best. at least thats my opinion.

i feel like that about music but movies, i feel, are supposed to take you out of what you're familiar with.
that said, i agree that menace is dope but the GF and GF II are just artistic masterpieces.
furthermore, I relate to the family aspect of Godfather. a lot of the families problems, on a fundamental level, are inherent in all families and every family has legacies and honor and responsibility to some extent and those concepts are universally relatable/primal I think.

I agree, sort of. Movies are supposed to take you out of what you're familiar with, sometimes. I mean if you're watching a sci-fi movie or some sort of action flick, most definetely. Movies like the ones we're talking about, need to have an aspect that the viewer can somewhat relate to, or at least pretend to relate to IMO. I can relate far more to Menace, then I can any old Italian Mafia movies. Being in Southern Cali, I've never in my life seen, known about, or cared about any Italian mafia lol
